A beautiful thing about growing up in a smaller town, is that you eventually will bump into the few like minded people who live there. And when you do, you hold on.
Since school our click has slowly intertwined through different small underground gatherings. And now 20 years later we're still in the same scene making magic together.
Proud to introduce you to some of them here at Bøx Bøx first Various Artist Compilation.

$UN€ULT - Behind this alias we have Klas Isaksson, the devoted club arranger and techno producer, and his best friend DJ and producer Lex Ludlow. Together they explore music through long hours of deep talk, that result in moody deep electronic music. From the studio of Klas, they captured this 10 minutes long modular live jam, where they let the 909 stand firm with the 606 on top, and all softly combined with the amplitude of the jupiter 6, into this groovy sweet piece.

Benmir - Producer, live performer, DJ, and engineer at Softube. He has gained local recognition for curating various electronic events and live sets across the plains of Östergötland for the past decade. After years of waiting for his first release, we have finally seized this rare bird. 'Gungfly' is a track that draws inspiration from the areas of miry land, which occurs next to murky lakes in the northern parts of Sweden. This natural phenomenon is commonly used as a metaphor for a difficult situation, but in this track Benmir offers a broader perspective. With a silky smooth vesture and a heavy dubby groove Gungfly captures a beautiful soundscape.

Inter Gritty - The Random Island dad, that for 10 years has been releasing tasteful curated vinyls. He's been spreading love with his different alias at various clubs around europe, and been a central part of the electronic dance scene in Norrköping. His Lost and Found track has a driven electro builder with smooth moving pads and a pounding beat.

Zip n Rar - The duo that includes Joakim "Beebop" Nybom and Kim Nilson, who long ago started their limitless friendship in the band Slagsmålskubben. They have been making music and touring together, sharing homes and clothes and now finally releasing their love baby Zip n Rar. A project that's been lurking under the surface for 10 years. As pioneers of the electronic dance scene in Norrköping they had a great impact on the number of forthcoming talented musicians from our home town. Their track, 2 guns 1 cop is a dramatic meeting of a solid groove and their signature sounds, all merged in an interesting build up with frolic drops.

Lex Ludlow - When Lex found this crew, she was a tailor/designer, and through an art collective where they did parties and fashion shows together, she fell in love with the electronic dance scene. During the years, she did everything around music except producing. But when the lookdown slowed Lex down, she finally downloaded Ableton, and since that day, she's been stuck in the studio, releasing music and DJing frequently. Her track, My Love is a ruff and groovy tune with dull acid basslines fused with moving arpeggiated synth lines.

Osch - Producer, live performer and visual art creator. This man has been playing amazing live sets since the 00s. He has a way of bending electronic music into the dark unknown and
at the same time, letting a warm pad, or a melody embrace you with its glow. After his last gig at our local members club Evigheten, we were swept away by this unforgiven raw force, and we kindly asked if we could pick it out from the live set straight into this Family Portrait VA.

We are happy to welcome UK-based artist KMBN to the catalog. We have been appreciating his work over the years and are thrilled to have him on board. “Never Wanted to Dance” offers 4 original tracks reminiscent of the spirit and energy of the New Beat and Electro sound we all love.
The title track “Never Wanted to Dance” lures you in with slow darkwave synth arpeggiation, along with haunting vocals from Sean Goldring.
“IDrank” embarks on a countdown to synth module frenzy, perfect for peak-time debauchery.

‘Whiskey’ has to be one of Miss Zagato's sexiest tracks ever… went all out with masculine bass and hot 80’s synth bits to take us back to women wearing red box shoulder suits and heels, going about seducing their bosses. Zagato has a deeply expressive freeform sound that mixes darker moods with beautiful synths and ’Cigarettes’ brilliantly push us into a new arpeggiated journey in London after hours, the perfect mix between catchy and sexy with a somnolent mood.

from Turkey ‘Ledi Cannit’ excellently remixes the track Cigarettes into something sci-fi cosmic outside this dimension, the drums hits hard and the solid bass line carries us along with some astral stabs.
