Hideo Kobayashi teams up with one of Japan's top club music acts, Coldfeet's Watusi and singer, Lori Fine. One of only a handful of Japanese club music acts to be exported out of Japan since the 1990s, releasing stuff out of Compost, King Street, Disorient, etc., Coldfeet makes a comeback from an extended break as a duo to collaborate with Hideo and co-produce, this sun-drenched, joyous, deep house track, Look For Light that features Lori Fine's sentimental lyrics and vocals. The original is backed up by stellar remixes by veteran Swedish producer, Eric Ericksson. Having graced some of the top labels such as Fragile, Planet E, Freerange, Local Talk, recording with Daniel Howe as North Beach, co-running Kass Recordings, he works the original into a funky, tough-beated, electrified, blissed out house affair.

Whether working as Shigeru Tanabu or monikers such as Manaboo (Alongside Moeller) and AZZXSSS itʼs apparent that Tanabu is highly trained in the fundamentals of production as a whole, whether the focal genre be House, Disco, Dubstep or Jazz the results cut through, earning support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Ed Davenport and Shur-I-Kan.

Atjazz steps up on remix duties for the ʻEl Contraste EP (Feat Akane Del Mar)ʼ providing both an instrumental and vocal version. As the remix name suggests ʻAtjazz Love Soul Remixʼ is exactly that - dripping with soul and warmth. The organic piano and slap bass encompass the melodic intricacies Atjazz has become known for. The percussion much like the rest of the elements give off a live feel with soft brush cymbal hits and loose toms rolling in a bossa-nova style.

Shigeruʼs original mix of ʻEl Contraste feat Akane Del Marʼ veers into laid-back ambient territory. Sumptuous pads and clinking metallic percussion flutter alongside the airy Latin vocal and spoken word resulting in a clean production full of character from well recorded vocals and a well balanced choice of sounds.

These are some of the expressions that come to mind, to describe the kind of deep house that producer, Hideo Kobayashi wants to capture with his newly established label, Fuente Music. 

For many years, Hideo has consistently released a cross section of top caliber, ultra-modern, original productions and remixes of silky deep house, tranquil tech-house and floor-rockin’ techno through various labels, different monikers and collaborations which solidly consolidated his status as one of the top Japanese producers in the club music genre. His unique musical vision has gone beyond the limits of micro-genres to captivate a cross section of dance music fans all around the world. 

Now, he is taking steps to fulfill his long-time dream of taking his musical vision one step further, by establishing his very own label, Fuente Music. Hideo wanted to start a label to release the west coast style of deep house that he first fell in love with, during his sojourn in San Francisco in the late 1990s. He combines this with a dash of European house flavors to hopefully create some dreamy, sophisticated deep house with haunting melodies, sensual, lush female vocals and hopefully, so much more! 

Fuente Music will also be a vehicle for not only to showcase his original productions with various singers but also collaborative efforts with other producers as well. Hopefully, Fuente Music will evolve into so much more, to captivate and be the soothing soundtrack for late night drives, ecstatic joy and pure bliss!
