Just Underground Recordings is pleased to bring you the follow up to last year's eclectic story driven album from London's House & Garage legend Danny J Lewis. This second instalment takes you on a new and emotional journey with a young New Yorker named Cass who wants to shake off the past and start a new life. Although the majority of tracks are four to the floor, the album diversifies into Broken Beat, UK Garage, Drum and Bass and RnB. Classical elements are integrated in many tracks to create a truly cinematic atmosphere. Thematically, each track is designed to represent a chapter in his story that night. As well as the individual tracks to download and DJ you can experience the complete 'Directors Cut' vision narrated by Zen Dharma as a continuous blend across just over 40 minutes.

Sounds of The Refuge of Underground Dance Halls in 1970s New York that capture the ecstasy of the underground hedonistic playground. Here, under the shadow of night, dancing served as a kind of release, a cathartic experience as transformative as it was transfixing.

Steeped in legend, history, and myth, the destruction and neglect of 1970s New York gave way to an unparalleled cultural renaissance. 

With the provenance of predominantly Black, Latino, and Italian gay men, disco spread like wildfire throughout the city's sizzling nightclub scene with its high energy, four-on-the-floor beats, orchestral harmonies, syncopated basslines, and foot-stomping diva vocalists. Emerging in the early 1970s, disco became the sound of a new generation coming of age during the Sexual Revolution, Civil Rights, Gay Liberation, and Women's Liberation Movements -- creating a post-hippie utopia that was as influential as it was short-lived. Embracing the ethos of "live and let live," disco was the anthem of survivors, radicals, and renegades who wanted nothing more than free expression on the dance floor.
