CHB is the solo project of Joel Dow.  started in 2005 as an audio/visual project to explore the subconscious, reverence the unknown and worship the dark sound.   
CHB  has gone about many things the wrong way.  it has played countless shows in strange basements.  released unknown quantities of hand made albums.  created hand painted films and cut up projections.   and never really got its shit together.

The origins of Envelope Muse can be traced back to the early 2000s in Perth to the coastal deep south of Western Australia. A profound connection to dark ambient, harshnoise, industrial, soundtrack and film composition inspired early experimentation with a 4 track recorder, a guitar, a mic and effects pedals, and from those humble beginnings the work of Envelope Muse evolved into the dark ambient industrial soundtracks the artist produces today. These heavily textured and moving visions are made possible through the integration of field recordings, modified equipment, film/audio samples, voice, synths, guitar and bass. Dialogue runs as a theme and the music is carefully constructed for film and live performance. Envelope Muse soundtracks evoke feelings of solitude, confinement and isolation through ominous and discordant overtones.

Empty Vessel Music was born in 2001 on a rain drenched afternoon in Seattle.

Beautiful and inspiring. Jenny's voice and instruments fit so well with Peter's ambient excellence. Found this by chance and already love it. No favorite song, they all have unique touch.

Another newie on Sirenwire. This time by Empty Vessel Music which is Jennifer Jo , who is a painter and musician. She's a successful pet portrait artist which is a job I've never really thought of people doing before but I guess it's something that some people out there must want. Makes me wish I had a lizard so I could post it to her and get her to draw it. Lizards aside this is her musical project which is a folky affair with accordions, pianos, and a variety of stringed things. Then Jennifer sings as well and on the opener her breathy vocals and sparse arrangements are delightful. Essentially it's very beautiful music which will get the old heart strings moving. The tracks tend to be on the darker more sombre side and I'm reminded a little of Current 93 or maybe a bit of Diamanda Galas, Carla Bozulich or that kind of earthy woman in there too. - Norman Records
