Galactic Groove Records present the second edition of our mix series sets.
This time around we feature a carefully crafted set from one of our label dj`s and all around legend PoP EyE. 
We share this set on a very special day as today he celebrates his birthday and also on this day one year ago to the day PoP EyE officially joined Galactic Groove Records and has become a very important member of the family.

Bio:
PoP EyE is the alter ego of Mario Popovic born in 1983 in the small city of Osijek on the river Drava in Croatia.
Now residing in Dublin, Ireland.

His first contact with electronic music was from childhood with his love growing more for it later in life when started going to parties where he was introduced to new genres.

In 2014 he discovered psychedelic trance.
Amazed with what he heard and saw at psy parties and festivals, for the first time he had the desire to participate in the music scene and become a DJ.

Already a valued member of "Galactic Groove Records" he recently joined with forces "Bhooteshwara Records" and is currently working on a new various artists compilation, which is due for release soon.

My first indoor Forest set at a full party since the first lockdown! 
It was great and a bit strange at the same time. In the meantime, mixing was also weird, until I noticed that the mixer was set to "mono". That's when I switched back to "stereo" and the whole sound opened up. Can you hear the moment when that happens?

COGUIE aka Joana Gregório is a bubbly DJane oozing forest spirit from Portugal. Her DJ journey began in 2012 and three years later she was invited to join established Italian label Purple Hexagon. Coguie's sets are psychedelic and dynamic journeys into a 'forestdelic twilight zone' loaded with powerful rhythms and deep, mysterious atmospheric sounds. Coguie is now taking you once again on a proper rollercoaster ride into the forest scene, starting with a track from her Live Project with Rubuscubus called "Polarians" and continuing with a mix of her favourite artists like Krapul, Archaic, Confo, Arjuna, Tengri and more. Mantis is side project of Ilya groove hunter from Russia, Ilya got hooked on psychedelic trance sound in 2005 at that time the artist started studying different sequencers and ways of making a personal unique sound, he start focusing on Mantis project and forest sounds in goa at 2018, same year released his first EP - Natural Carving. In November 2019 was released his full album «Jungle stores» with few collaborations.Mantis immerses you in a deep forest twisted rhythm and surrounds you with natural textures together with fat leads and a tight bassline rhythm. Mantis have a bit wild energy same like insects!

Full Lotus is a Psychedelic DJ based in London and signed to Parvati Records. At the age of 12 he discovered the word 'psychedelic' whilst reading a comic and after looking up the meaning, decided that it could be fun. 

He started DJing on vinyl whilst at university playing a mixture of Alternative and Psychedelic rock and formed a student society with a focus on mainly 60's psychedelia. During this time he was exposed to underground electronic dance music from the early 90's UK scene and heard some people talking about 'Goa' parties and 'Goa' music and thought this also sounded like it could be fun.

Following a trip to Goa in late 1995, he became hooked on the music he heard at the beach parties and upon returning in early 1996, he began attending numerous Goa style parties in London. The following year he started organizing trance/techno events with a friend and started to DJ in London. In 1998 he became a resident DJ for the Kundalini party organization. This was the start of the Full Lotus project. After hearing the first Parvati Records compilation, First Step, he embraced this particular sound and became one of the first DJ’s in the UK to play it at parties.

With over thirty years of experience behind the decks, he is a regular fixture on the London psychedelic trance scene and currently plays what is known these days as dark/forest psychedelic trance or as he used to call it, twisted night time funk. His DJ sets are performed with the intention of making both your body and mind dance.
