Fullbarr Digital keep up the new year pressure with another superb single, this time from Serbian duo Gliesers and featuring remixes from Echologist and Youandewan….

UK label Fullbarr Digital kicked off 2011 with their promo of the forthcoming Death on the Balcony & Ste Roberts single, now, hot on it’s heels we have the debut single from Gliesers, an act comprising of Milos Pavlovic & Nenad Petrovic.

Pavlovic and Petrovic both hail from Belgrade in Serbia where they have established themselves as forces to be reckoned with in electronic music. Between them they have recorded for labels such as Traffica, Momentum & Recon, delivering some sterling house and techno whilst building reputations as exciting and innovative DJs.

For their debut release on the excellent Fullbarr Digital, Gliesers have delivered two original new cuts, the first being the title track ‘Kupiers Belt’. This is deep, hypnotic and blissful dub techno perfectly formed and delivered, with Pavlovic and Petrovic displaying their talent for understated and sublime production.

Second of the two originals comes in the form of ‘Riverside’ which again journeys into deep and dubby territory with delayed FX, subtle percussion and simple melodic parts, simple but brilliant.

The EP is completed with two remixes of ‘Kupiers Belt’ the first coming from Echologist AKA Brendon Moeller. Moeller is best know for his stunning body of work on Francois K’s Wave Music as well as his own superb Steadfast label, here he takes things into mesmerizing techno territory with a mix that is a pure aural delight.

The second remix comes from Youandewan AKA Ewan Smith who has received real acclaim for his releases on the Magicbag label. For his remix of ‘Kupiers Belt’ Smith delves into broken beat territory and provides a mix that fuses dubstep and electronica perfectly.

Fullbarr are on fire at the moment, and with artists such as Gliesers onboard it’s looking like 2011 is going to be a great year for this rising star….

<b>It’s reassuring to know that the young bloods still care; 
 that flooding charts is not always the MO, and that artistic value can still be prized above ubiquity. 
Take Fullbarr for example – a boutique label of love from the mind of 24 year old Arthur Barr. He’s not yet an established DJ, a hyped producer or anything else; rather he’s a fan of fine electronic music who wants to add to the global conversation with his own unique accent.

And he has been doing just that with an admirably DIY approach since 2010, fusing the depths of dub, the power of techno and the mood of house into mature and alluring soundscapes that take inspiration from “parties, music, artists and friends from around the globe.” It’s a simple and honest mission, and one that is serving the Bradford based label well, with support coming in from both on and offline press (think RA, DJ Mag, De: Bug). Of course, more important than what some holed-up desk jockeys say, is what the all important disc jockey says…. And alas, with plays and chartings from top-dogs including Delano Smith, Seth Troxler, Jozif, Ripperton, Kenny Larkin, Ed Davenport, Iron Curtis fullbarr can sleep easy.
