Bio :

Active in turntablism since 2009. Locked up in a scratch-cave for 3 years. Made his beginnings as a DJ during his student years in the Vienna scene. Got acknowledged in his home country Luxembourg through his scratch skills. Currently 2 releases out with Bibi La Brute cuts. Played many of the major venues in both Luxembourg & Vienna. Co-founded NON FUNXION, a Europe-based collective of music lovers & event series in 2013. Currently commuting between Austria, Germany and Luxembourg.

Amoureux des musiques de l'est, klezmer et balkaniques, empreints d'une énergie nucléaire, mâtinée d'un humour fin et spirituel, la Fanfare Couche-Tard est à la musique ce que le 4x4 est aux voyages…

Après plus de 4 ans sur les routes et plus de 150 dates en passant par la France, la Suisse, Le Luxembourg, l'Allemagne, la Belgique et les Pays-Bas, la Fanfare Couche-Tard a préparé en 2012-2013 un tout nouveau spectacle vivant et humoristique, toujours en poursuivant un rythme effréné de représentations.

Mais elle ne compte pas s'arrêter en si bon chemin : déjà le projet d'un nouveau disque est dans les cartons et après la participation à une compilation caritative nationale, début 2014, de nouveaux titres seront disponibles au cours de l'année. 

Was soll man denn reden, wenn es doch um Musik geht und nicht um eine hübsche Frisur? TUBBE betreiben klassisches Songwriting. Könnte man meinen, zumal es sich sicher außergewöhnlich hübsch liest. Ein wenig Gitarre, eine Melodie, eine kleine Depression...Doch wie es immer so ist, mit der Idylle, sie ist trügerisch. Ein Synthie schubst sich in die Stille, schnappt sich den Platz in der ersten Reihe und hat nichts Besseres zu tun, als etwas Benzin in die Lagerfeuerbeschaulichkeit zu kippen. Und auf einmal entsteht irgendwie das Bild eines bedröppelten Singer-Songwriters, der im Neonlicht der Autoscooter seine stillen Lieder singt. Leise und fast ein wenig zu zart, um in dem ganzen Trubel zu bestehen. Doch dann setzt der Bass ein, nimmt ihn auf die Schultern und es geht auf und davon...und plötzlich stimmen selbst die Prolls in den Rave-Schlachtruf mit ein: „Aufwachen am Morgen kann eine Großtat sein / Einer schreibt Geschichte, ein Anderer Einkaufszettel / Einer steckt Ringe an Finger, ein Anderer hat sie unter den Augen / Einer kocht Suppe, der Andere vor Wut / Einer pfeift ein Lied, der Andere auf alles / Der eine hört Musik, alle Anderen auch / Im besten Fall TUBBE.

Mellow Movez produces a warm, minimalist and melodic sound. Driving electro-snares and creaking bass, trippy synths and clicking percussion plus pitched-down vocals in German are their trademark.
