Improvise words and phrases while jamming on your guitar or piano. Often times a line or phrase from your unconscious mind can be the start to a masterpiece. If you let loose and vocalize while playing cool chord progressions and riffs, you will be amazed at what you can come up with. Have your phone, computer or something else that records handy so that you can document what you are coming up with. Often times you can hear things that you didn’t know that you did that were awesome, when you play your recording back.    Love MooN

Growing up about 40 minutes from St. Louis Missouri in Waterloo, Illinois Alexandra began writing songs at the age of 15 as a way to cope with being a teenager, her first loves and finding herself.

Alexandra started working in the entertainment business at a young age by booking commercials and voice-over work. While performing in multiple musical theater productions, Alexandra decided to try her luck as a contestant on American Idol in 2011. 

Alexandra Kay started working in hip hop and R&B in early 2012. Using the platform Nelly created, AK sewed herself into the St. Louis music scene. Working with notable STL artists such as Nelly and Huey Alexandra created enough buzz to sign an independent record deal with Nettwork Entertainment in 2013. 

 AK’s first single “No More” was a radio hit spending three weeks at #1 on the New Music Weekly Top 40 pop chart, also scoring at the top of Hot AC and Hot 100 charts.

Starting her country music career independently at 22, Alexandra began recording cover videos of many 90’s country music favorites and posting them on her Facebook fan page, going viral dozens of times.

AK quickly drew a dedicated fan base on Facebook, which has grown to over 2.3 million followers to date.

On TikTok Alexandra Kay’s following has grown to over 3.9 million followers, and generated over 68.6 million likes.

Since taking social media by storm Alexandra Kay has collaborated with some of the most iconic names in the music industry like Randy Travis, Tim McGraw, and Scott Stapp of Creed.

Alexandra made her Grand Ole Opry debut on November 19, 2022.

Alexandra Kay  joined Tim McGraw, Russell Dickerson, and Brandon Davis on the McGraw Tour 2022 amphitheater tour. The tour began Friday, April 29, 2022 in Rogers, AR and ended in Mansfield, MA on June 4, 2022. Alexandra also shared the stage with with country greats Tracy Lawrence and Clay Walker in 2022.

In 2023 Alexandra Kay performed at C2C 2023 in London, England for the first time as well as headlined her own sold out out show in Manchester. 

In 2023 Alexandra Kay headlined her Backroad Therapy Tour 2 through Canada & the United States which sold over 10,000 tickets. She then followed up the success with another headline tour called the Dive Bar Dreamer tour, presented by Miller Lite. 

Alexandra Kay released her Debut Album titled All I’ve Ever Known on Oct 26, 2023, Alexandra’s following tour was her most successful yet, with 50,000+ headline tickets sold.

I was born in Knoxville Tennessee from Native American roots Cherokee from My mother's side of the family. I began playing music at an early age when I was 5 years old started Writing my own songs also playing the guitar, I only had one teacher, a sweet elderly lady that could play the hell out of a guitar her name was Ms. Raymond.

At the age of 15 I shared the stage with Little Jimmy Dickens.
In the early 80's I played throughout Knoxville places such as Manhattans, King Creoles, Sassy Ann's Blues Bar and many more. In the early 90's I entered a songwriting contest and met Dolly Parton and her siblings, they all seem to be impressed. I won the Horizon Award for new songwriter of the year. I was honored to meet them all and they enjoyed my style. I have 5 cd's of music filled to date, I've written over 300 songs and write more when the songs and music come. 
I could write lyrics with music in less then 5 minutes I had been doing this since the age of 5..

My biggest influences as far as songwriting are Johnny Cash, Ben Harper, Bob Dylan, Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, Elvis Presley and more, lyric that rings the truth and makes you feel your soul.
Elvis first taught me on how to perform on stage, Janis Joplin taught me to find my voice, and guts, and so many more. In the year 2007 I was in a CMT clip for Knoxville for songwriters, I would love to have the honor to write for great artist like Martina McBride, Dolly Parton and more.   Write song for Tv and movies. 
My vision is writing and singing songs that have universal message with gut wrenching truth, I understand the demographics of the younger audience. My songs speaks to the things in there soul.  Currently am putting out my music worldwide to get the music in my soul out.
