Em's laid-back electronic cut ‘All I Want’ is an extension of this message, in which Em reflects on her experience as an individual: “When we seek for love and comfort, we tend to look for it in the arms of our loved ones. We tend to forget that this, in fact, is something we can find in ourselves.” 

Tapping into the sense of freedom she felt when dancing to house music, the track captures the moment when we elevate with someone we may not know intimately: “The dancing part literally came from multiple moments we had together where we would just dance our hearts out. Disregarding the fact that we had only known each other for a short period of time, we felt entranced in moments where we could express ourselves creatively, making our relationship stronger, timeless, and unique.”

It’s a more electronic direction for the multi-hyphenate creative, demonstrating Em Glasser’s developing and dynamic pop sound.

“This song is a romanticized daydream about a girl who moved in across the hall. I was living in Los Angeles and I had just picked up a 1982 MT-45 Casiotone keyboard. I fell in love with the sound of it and it inspired me to write the song quite quickly.”

“The majority of the drums come from Roland CR-78 and Roland 505 drum machines. Run through a series of guitar pedals, the Casio keyboard’s signal chain is visible in the song’s artwork; a photo I took on my 1982 Canon AE-1 film camera” – Harry Nathan
