Passionate about electronic music for many years, the young al dente DJ decided to step behind the decks after moving to Berlin three years ago. Since then, she has recorded mixes for a wide range of international labels and played in a number of well-known clubs, including the Motel Campo and the Zoo in Geneva, as well as the Void Club in Berlin and the Case à Chocs in Neuchâtel. Back in Switzerland, she made appearances at major Geneva events such as the Festival Antigel, the Zbeul Festival and the Globale Locale, forging a place for herself on the local scene. A regular at underground nights in Berlin and Holland, her preferred style is groovy, hypnotic and raw techno. However, she originally had a passion for acid and old school house. It's through this style that she became hooked on electronic sounds and where she draws much of her inspiration.

About the mix:

"Through this mix I wanted to pay tribute to the oldschool electronic music from the 90's, and more specifically to house and acid. DJs like Dr. Rubinstein and Steffi were a source of inspiration for the composition of this set. I really like the way they mix and blend different styles, creating an electric and bewitching atmosphere. It's always a challenge for me to step out of my comfort zone and offer something other than the techno I'm used to play, and that's exactly what I find exciting, so I hope you enjoy the spicy throwback!"

DEEP AS FAWG (Bare Bones Mix) (free download)

Olympe4000’s new EP, MUTANTE, is built for the club but carries a deeper resonance. Released on Jen Cardini’s DISCHI, it moves between raw techno, sharp percussion, and shifting synth textures, reflecting the fluid nature of identity, attraction, and self-perception. At the core of the project is Anaco, Olympe’s Franco-Spanish friend, whose voice messages became the foundation for the tracks. Their words touch on bisexuality, the tension between visibility and erasure, and the contradictions of self-definition in a world that imposes rigid categories. These ideas are embedded in the music, not just in the lyrics, but in the structure, contrast, and energy of each track.

"Nos Sexualizan" is heavier and more high-energy, driven by pounding rhythms and deep basslines. Anaco speaks about the way society sexualizes certain identities, reducing them to stereotypes shaped by the male gaze. The raw spoken reflections clash with the intensity of the production, turning personal experience into something direct and unfiltered.
"Con La Mujer" is more introspective but still built for the dancefloor. It layers evolving synths and arpeggios over a relentless groove, while Anaco reflects on belonging and legitimacy. The track builds tension before reaching a release that mirrors the push and pull of self-perception. "Showtime" is fast-paced and playful, exploring identity as both expression and performance. Shuffling hi-hats, rolling bass, and sharp drops create a sense of momentum, shifting between control and abandon. It captures the thrill of stepping into the spotlight, embracing transformation, and rejecting fixed definitions.

Olympe4000 - Con La Mujer

The third instalment in our mix series comes from a close friend of the label, petar_tverkal, a Warsaw-based DJ and producer turning heads with her high-energy, trance-infused sound.

After first coming across her sets, it was clear her sound was a natural fit for Basement. We instantly connected over a mutual love for the same artists, labels, and a shared taste for fast grooves, strange textures, and progressive-leaning club sounds.
Starting her journey as a DJ before diving into production, petar_tverkal has quickly built a reputation for blending progressive house, eurodance, and fast groove techno. 

Her debut EP on German label Hyperrave blends hard groove and hypnotic techno, followed by a progressive house release on UK imprint Labonnemusique and, most recently, eurodance cuts via PULZAR.
In Warsaw, she co-founded WOX—a platform for workshops, lectures, and events supporting women and queer communities—and launched UWA, a night dedicated to supporting beginner DJs.
