🗯🗯 How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration? 🗯🗯

My idea for the United We Stream Podcast was to record a house mix, because most of my recordings are techno and most of my bookings are for techno events. My love for house music is at least as big as my love for techno music, thats why i chose to do a house mix.

I decided to take the first hour of our OYE Records Night at Paloma Bar from 2nd October, because the mood and atmosphere was so wonderful and the energy was great.

🗯🗯 How do you make use of technology? 🗯🗯

To this day i haven't looked at the new technology CDJ´s are offering. You will always find me playing vinyl only sets as I prefer the warmth of analog sounds and the classic feel of turntables.

🗯🗯 How would you describe your style? 🗯🗯

I play a deep blend of techno, electro, Chicago & Detroit house with nuggets of acid, funk and breakbeats rolled in, I also love to play ambient sets. My record collection is pretty big and i like to play different genres, i don´t like to be fixed in one genre.

Manchester’s Mason Collective joins the 6AM Guest Mix series ahead of their upcoming performance at Desert Air Festival in Palm Springs this December 10-11.
 
The dynamic trio is made up of Blair Suarez, Adam Myles, and Omar Guedar and is emerging through the underground dance scene with their signature style of the

Mason Collective's first solo EP 'Whippin' hit #1 on Beatport and in 2019 they announced their own independent label of the same name. Since then, they’ve had releases on labels such as HotTrax, Desolat, Solid Grooves, and Roush. They've also released highly acclaimed remixes of tracks such as Bipolar Sunshine's 'Major Love' and MK's 'Back and Forth'.
 
Desert Air Festival is the newest dance music getaway presented by the Goldenvoice and Splash House teams, taking place at the renowned Palm Springs Air Museum. Mason Collective joins a lineup that includes globally recognized and critically acclaimed DJs such as Peggy Gou, DJ Koze, Dixon, The Martinez Brothers, Moodymann, Channel Tres, Jayda G, TSHA, and more.
