HYPEREMIA is a tribute to the contemporary club scene with a variety of experimentation and mixing of genres from around the world such as dancehall, reggaeton, baile funk, gabber, dnb, breakcore and various experimental beats.

Each soundtrack is a collection of signs, symbols, fantasies and ideas about the current club sound, filled with strong emotions and experiences that have accumulated over the past year in a limited space and partial loneliness.

This album is an attempt to return to the sound environment (both physically and mentally) and experience a strong shock and hard input from the fact that at last the long-awaited rough gigs have been delivered. Moreover, the entrance is so exciting that even organs or body cavities begin to fill with blood, bursting your soul and your mind, cracking your bones.
The desire to feel so strongly immersed in the sound environment has become a fetish, psychosis, a dream.

The only guest artist on this album is Elvin Brandhi. The track - Evil Gang was written by us in about one fleeting evening, in which I was lucky enough to meet her during our performances at the Nyege Nyege Festival 2019 in Kampala, Uganda.

"After the development of simulation technologies up to their physical limit, a constant unavoidable phenomenon was discovered. It interfered with the interaction topology of any two variable agents within a given system. 

This phenomenon of unknown nature, which prevented two polar values ​​from complementation and mutual trans-cyclic transformation was named Veil. 

Veil creates boundaries within the relations of elements in any semi-physical system. Thus, it creates and conditions the variety of forms and phenomena, while also implying an interior realm, which implements its own ontology. There are strange clouds of information in this ontology, we called them Chrono Chambers – negative reality pockets or discarded realities. You may find more in the Veil Theory Log. 

The executive module of the meta-programming SAI-cores (Shifting Anti-Entropic Intelligence) found a way to access these realities. A project aimed at studying this phenomenon was conceived. It went under the code name Chronogears Initiative. 

After the eighth stage of the project launch, the systems encountered unforeseen difficulties. The Root Data Source collapsed and caused the Sphere to collide with [transmission error]

The name Xiao Quan sparks a question mark and confuses tons of listeners. His nationality, cultural background and behaviour are topics that everyone who knows him for the first time want to talk about. Those are also the themes he is more than happy to play with in his music. In fact, he has lived in Shenzhen, China for two years, when Oil Club wasn‘t even open.

Cultural symbols from Asia and Africa have appeared more and more frequently in world’s art scenes in recent years, although the status of self-consumption in content and consumption by the Western world is still unchangeable in a short time. As a producer from São Paulo, Xiao Quan’s "Connection" EP uses a generalized and concrete way to create cultural symbols as he operates them and make them sound normal and casual, which is impossible for many original creators of culture, especially in mainland China, which is almost derailed from its tradition now. Xiao Quan is just like us (Chinese people and producers), absorbing and using a large amount of information from around the world.

"Connection" EP is undoubtedly based on the Xiao Quan-style black humor, and the connection with the Asian and African culture he deeply loves. Unlike in the past, he really participated as a member of Asian culture through FunctionLab this time. From the first sound of "Rolling Barrel”, like the sound of a dragon coming out of the fog, drums from Asia and Africa came through and wore it to the end, warm and obscure. Does the rough Chinese vocal sample appearing in the track puzzle you? This is the voice that Xiao Quan doesn't understand very much but crazy in love with. The fun is self-evident. As for elaborate arrangements and superb production techniques, these have never been the case for Xiao Quan.
