We are very excited to present the 54th episode featuring an hour of deeply brooding techno, filled with ritualistic, intricate and distinctly-textured grooves from Stockholm-based Franz Jager.

After experimenting with Dubstep and Drum ’n’ Bass for over 8 years Franz Jäger started in 2016 following a more technoid approach. Based in Stockholm and inspired by the works of Seba, DJ Slip a.k.a. Troy Geary as well as jazz, soul and the sound of nature he now passionately focuses on his unique interpretation of minimalistic and organic Techno full of momentum and carefully crafted soundscapes.

As usual, turn up the volume and enjoy the chaos!

For this new podcast i tried to create the ambience of the start of the night. At the beginning of a night the tempo and intensity is lower.

I opened the set a little slower with some ambient and moved that in to some breakbeat and low intensity tracks. The momentum keeps building as the music keeps playing.

Lower bpm’s don’t have to feel slow. If you implement the right drive and intensity it doesn’t feel slow. When playing lower bpm’s there is more room for interesting layers without overcrowding the mix.

All the tracks undoubtedly represent the sound that the label has defended since its creation, offering a proposal in which both experienced and emerging artists have participated.
