What the heck’s it all about?  

Why are people so devout?  

But I’m on the lookout, I'm reading it, I’m checking it out!

Full of lies, and it’s libel,  

To the human race,  

I don’t want people shoving it in my face.  





That’s what I’ve heard anyway,  

I don’t care if it’s just hearsay,  

I won’t believe it come what may,

Though our laws are based on it,  

And its message is infinite,  

I’m making myself a bottomless pit,  

Because I’m just afraid of it.

I’ll just ignore this forevermore,  

Will not read it, I just don’t care,

The focal point is this man, Jesus,  

Sent from God to come and save us  

From the sin that we all have,  

Prepared to take God’s full wrath  

For the evil things we've thought and done.  

The toughest loving man—no other, none—  

Would do this for us—yes,  

And we won’t read it nonetheless!
