Originally hailing from Dallas, Brett Johnson has become a pretty regular fixture here in Farringdon. Known for his warm touch whilst on selection duty he brings a qualified range of house, techno and disco and, in short, he's a DJ that is apt at driving our dancefloors whatever room or time we place him in. On his next venture to our corner of the world he's actually doubling up for us, delivering the warm up in Room One while also heading up the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Huddersfield born imprint Hudd Traxx. Ahead of the night and as his own little ode to the label's history, he's put together this exclusive new mix that gets to moving through the depths of the type of house he's set to bring to EC1 on the first weekend in August.

Hailing from the greater Frankfurt Area Sascha Dive has made quite some impression on the international house and techno circus over the last years. Although the deephouse traveller looks back to an amazing amount of pristine releases with the first official vinyl pressed back in 2007 one can still call him a young gun. Especially if you look around in the deeper fields of house music these days this gifted producer and DJ seems to be a great exception. And this isn't a disadvantage at all: With all the energy in his mind and hands Sascha Dive proves with every gig and every production that he easily plays on one level as many of his legends, if not even higher. 

However Sascha Dive is not only taking his sound and vision to the world's finest floors, he still manages it to release more and more music. Dive released a vast amount of productions and remixes on high class labels such as Tsuba, Freebase, Deep Labs (Balance US), Raum...Musik or Stir15. And besides all the touring and producing he still runs his own "Deep Vibes" label with great success. "Deep Vibes" brought up some outstanding music by Sascha Dive and his his buddies and „house-mates“ like Brothers Vibe, Robert Dietz, Christian Burkhardt or Markus Fix (just to name a few) and most of it on vinyl! So it's no wonder that vinyl master Sven Väth signed Sascha to Cocoon Artists and Cocoon Recordings.

The Barcelona based DJ and producer's influence across the tech house and techno scene over the last 20 years is indisputable. 

His melodic masterpiece "Diabla", released in 2001 became a huge global hit and DJ Mag's 'techno record of the year'. Played by house, progressive, techno even trance DJs, its release saw the Scot’s career soar to new heights! 

Other hits "Jack Me Off," "Bad Coffee”, "Emotional Content", remixes for Underworld, New Order, and Laurent Garnier, plus releases for Bedrock, Drumcode, and All Day I Dream, are just a mere snapshot of his discography. 

Seminal mix compilations for Balance Series, Soma's Sci-Fi Hi-Fi, and Cocoon followed, further cementing his place in dance music history. 

Still not content with conquering techno, Sandberg was mystery figure behind “Francois Dubois”, with releases such "Blood" and "I Try" named as a big influence for Darius Syrossian, plus many other leading tech house DJs of his generation.
