While 'Sand' indulges in the more plucky, clicky and electronic soundscapes, 'Stones' clearly shows a wide array of organic deepness and world music influences. Both songs are equally danceable, driving, enthusiastic and flawlessly produced. Music to our ears.

The twenty-third release of Armadillo Records, an avant-garde label run by Guy J, presents a three-track material produced by a Los Angeles-based artist Nick Newman. The British-born Nick has created almost twenty minutes of forward-thinking themes that defy classification. A New Chapter is not just the name of the opening track but also a conceptual statement of the entire release. Followed by A Sense of Belonging, the sonic experimentation gets deeper into abstraction. The music culminates with Broken Keys, a final piece of the cerebral audio puzzle, where crackles and background noises become part of the imaginative expression. Nick took his artistry to previously unexplored depths. The music showcases an expansion of the author's musical range that has become even more mature through his stream-of- consciousness sound structures and the dreamy atmosphere.
