Some new music recorded live last weekend in Melbourne with Doppel and all my buddies. 
It was tricky mixing in front of a tin shed so it isn't the damn perfection I seek, but I was still happy with the result and now challenge myself to let go of this one before its too late and i change my mind 😅. Lots of new and unfinished things ,it never ends really. 

Knowing whether or not it went the way I intended, there were still plenty of nice moments of rawness and the unexpected, like a strange but beautiful dream, enjoy my friends, I hope the music finds you at the right time❤️

Winter Formations

Des Morgens started out as an attempt to create an electronic companion piece to Charles Mingus' 1963 piece "Solo Dancer" (still echoed in the two-chord pendulum heard throughout the intro), though this enterprise was quickly abandoned as it moved into a completely different direction. A skittish, glitchy beat carries the track, starting at a reasonably quaint place before plunging into a screaming abyss, only to soar into the sky during an ecstatic finale.

The twenty-third release of Armadillo Records, an avant-garde label run by Guy J, presents a three-track material produced by a Los Angeles-based artist Nick Newman. The British-born Nick has created almost twenty minutes of forward-thinking themes that defy classification. A New Chapter is not just the name of the opening track but also a conceptual statement of the entire release. Followed by A Sense of Belonging, the sonic experimentation gets deeper into abstraction. The music culminates with Broken Keys, a final piece of the cerebral audio puzzle, where crackles and background noises become part of the imaginative expression. Nick took his artistry to previously unexplored depths. The music showcases an expansion of the author's musical range that has become even more mature through his stream-of- consciousness sound structures and the dreamy atmosphere.
