Funkcast showcases a dynamic blend of beats from both established and emerging artists, creating an electrifying soundscape that celebrates the true spirit of the techno and club music.

@TimJa's selections are versatile on genre (Techno, Trance, Acid, Electro, Hardhouse) while sharing a common trait which he calls “groove”, defined by rich & complex rhythmic patterns formed by the interactions of the various elements that form each track, in addition to otherworldy atmospheric textures ranging from sci-fi to full fantasy. His setlists are prepared on the basis of those patterns complementing each other in interesting ways, smoothly blending into one entity, telling a story from the start till the end of his set. 

TimJa has organized and curated a number of events in various musical directions and legal/illegal venues in the past 2 years. His last project was called IDENTITÄT which focuses on providing new niche sounds to the crowd by focusing on rising talents regardless of the usual unfair standards, in addition to making multi-disciplinary events with a special element in each event.

Gingershot has a wide range of tastes in music: she feels that harsh, grating industrial style is as close to her as the emotional and fragile heartbreaking vocals. The point for her is to thicken the sound to fulfill the well-known aesthetic formula: 1 + 1 = 3. While she freely juggles genres and loves to get lost in expanding her music library, she also educates herself on the theory of music and the philosophy of arts academically.

She entered the Hungarian techno scene in 2018, after years of gathering tracks since 2021 she has been a frequently invited DJ at various events. However, she also actively publishes about the local scene which she likes to be a member and an observer of, too. Out of the capital she has been invited to other cities in Hungary, also played in Berlin, and released a guest mix in Madrid. In Budapest, she is a resident of the Kindergarten event series.

This time she would like to show us her progressive selection of club techno, tribal, and hypnotic grooves with a hint of remarkable sound design and experimental motifs.

Moral's journey into the electronic music world began at a young age, navigating through various musical styles and experimenting with different sounds but the culture of techno is what really got him in the end. The music is now a significant part of his everyday life. Whenever he steps onto the stage, his goal is clear: He is always trying to give a piece of himself and his taste.

Within techno, two genres resonate deeply with Moral: hard techno and  groove. He constantly strives to create a performance that seamlessly melds with the atmosphere of the party while staying true to his individual style.

His fusion of hard techno's raw power with the irresistible groove creates a sonic tapestry that enthralls the audience. Balancing the pulsating energy of his beats with an intuitive understanding of the crowd's vibe.

Berlin-born, underground culture enthusiast Hayam has a profound connection to Techno. For her, Techno isn’t just music; it’s a multidimensional journey of connection, sensuality, and freedom. It’s a vibrant blend of the societal and the political, making it more than just beats; it’s ,,a scream for freedom.’

With a background in classical music and a decade of navigating Berlin’s club scene, Hayam brings a unique and eclectic taste to the decks. From bumpy hard groove to nostalgic 90s Techno/Trance, she keeps the dance floor energy alive.

When she’s behind the decks, Hayam thrives on the euphoria of symbiosis with the crowd. It’s like a musical boomerang, where energies flow seamlessly between her and the dance floor. That moment when she sees those ecstatic faces of enjoyment and realizes, „OK, the track fits,“ is pure magic."

Paralich is a german based dj/producer/party organiser/photographer & powergirl.

Her love for music started at a very young age when she attended dance classes. Later, she went to art school to learn photography and her friends introduced her techno, but something was always missing for her: she realized she wanted to learn to play and express herself her own way.
However, music was not her priority at this point and her plans to make music were put aside for some time until 2020, when she had her first gig as Paralich (‘Paralysis‘ in Russian).
That was the life changing experience that finally put her on the path of becoming a professional DJ. Although the past years have been very difficult for artists, Paralich managed to start her own label and party series called Dead End which is one of the most popular events in the Budapest underground electronic music scene, and also build her own career as Paralich.

She plays Hard Techno, but she also like to mix it with old school music from the 90’s, her sets are even trancy or have Gabber vibes. She makes a show when behind the decks, and although she likes to mix different music you surely can recognize the unique Paralich style.

Paralich just had her first Colombian tour and also her debut at Verknipt, North American tour in August. You can listen to her discography on: Verknipt, RAW, Parfait, Technopsis, The Brvtalist, Motz, Sindex, Industrial Violence, including the tracks produced by her.

Korodi is an emerging artist from Budapest who started djing 3 years ago. His sound can be defined with proper, experimental, groovy and hypnotic characteristics and he offers his sets in a well-structured way with a careful selection. 
He is a resident dj of Bloc Budapest, which has just started its journey alongside really talented artists.

Valenthin discovered his passion for music at a young age, cultivating a deep love for electronic sounds that would later become his life's calling.

Speedball is a Budapest based guy who loves to explore the world of mixing. 

He’s creative one who is into arts - He basically works in the fashion industry as a stylist who is about to push the boundaries and establish looks thats unusual but harmonic and beautiful in its own way.

He thinks mixing/Djing is just as fantastic way to bloom creativity as being a stylist. He wants to show something similar with his music as with his works in fashion. His aim is to tell different stories through the bouncing beats with each set. Speedball loves playing massive and danceable grooves - so that’s what you can expect from him.

Flewur is a project by @nus_nus that focuses on delving into deeper and slower sounds while maintaining its eclectic and diverse selection. 
It incorporates intricate layers and ethereal melodies, guiding listeners through a dynamic atmospheric journey. 

In this mix, she aimed to explore groovier techno sounds, staying true to her style.

Noirnite is the founder of temporary nites, whose musical taste is best reflected in the label’s material and events. 

He tries to conjure up an atmosphere on the dancefloor within the most varied and eclectic musical range possible, whether it’s unadulterated techno or experimental DJ/live sets.

In the hungarian techno scene, AESZTETIK is an outstanding figure, with his dinamic, pounding, groovy style. While releasing many tracks on great labels like Akronym, Deadline Rec, Twice Infinity, Concrete Berlin, Hardest Soft, among others.

 No wonder his name became known in parties abroad as well. He started his career as an international DJ in 2022. He has already played in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Lyon and Krakow.

 Recently, started his own record label which goes by the name Phunk Element Records.

Meet Papa Ali. A Turkish DJ that brings more musical colour into Budapest's techno scene.

Starting from the age of 18, Papa Ali was producing some beats inspired by his family's musical background. Bringing the experience, he gained organizing and playing in Turkey, he moved to Budapest and immediately started contributing to the growth of the local techno scene.

D’ILLEGΛL started his journey with mainly OG Hard Techno and Industrial soundings but over the time he got influenced by many other different styles and he figured out soon he needs more freedom between sub genres.

He's been under the influence of the Hip-Hop culture since the beginning of his childhood so he always try to integrate some rap bars and vocals into his sets.

He likes the challenge to adapt to a specific lineup or a given style of event but what he mostly likes it’s diverse sets when he can take the audience to a trip between his favourite styles like Hard Groove, Ghetto Tech, Donk, Hard Trance, Schranz and other Hard Dance styles.

Introducing Daniel Moritz, a DJ hailing from the vibrant city of Budapest, Hungary. With roots in both the underground music scene and the ballroom scene, he brings a blend of styles to the dance floor. Known for his expertly curated sets that seamlessly blend a wide range of different styles such as house, hard groove, and techno.

His interest in music began a decade ago when he spent countless hours exploring the scene and immersing himself in the world of ballroom culture. Through his passion for music and dance, he developed a keen ear for unique sounds and beats that would later become the foundation for his signature style.

Since then, Daniel has become a well-known figure in the Budapest electronic music scene and the worldwide ballroom scene as well. His sets are always uplifting and energetic. Daniel is also the organizer of the Vogue Dawn series which gives a safe space for the queer audience of ballroom and electronic music fans.

Dé is a fresh face in the hungarian scene, started djing four years ago. He felt in love with the experimental, raw, loopy and hypnotic techno inmediatly, meanwhile he is trying to avoid the cliches, playing the finest bangers and keeping the proper techno alive. In 2023, he became the resident of Bloc Budapest.

Eliézer started his djing journey during the covid era.

Classic DDJ400, plenty of free time and annoying neighbours gave him the bravery to evolve into a careful selector since 2020. His taste moves on a wide scale including funky house, oldschool hip hop, trance but mainly techno.

Working in the film industry always throws him into the task: To Focus.

Eventually this forced habit making him doing the same when playing a set. He usually feels comfortable between 135-145 bpm with groovy elements, dynamic clean kicks and crazy hip hop vocals. He is a careful observer and a quick decision maker in order to maintain the vibe while gradually reach the peak. 

Co-founding the fresh party series @electro_polis their first event at the exclusive Sofa Bar (Dürer) was more than memorable. Dont worry, next one is in the making.

In this one he selected some longtime favourites and some spicy hardgroove. He travels the listener into the vibe of everyday moments where you would say: “I wish I was alone here, so no one  would see me dance like an idiot”.

Sabber’s music journey started from his brother who influenced his musical taste with the sounds of different techno sub-genres at an early age. 

Later, from the curiosity of turning knobs and pushing faders he started to discover production. After experimenting with producing different genres he slowly started to see what is his sonic vision. You can expect to listen new tracks from him every month, some being already planned to be release on labels.

After moving to Budapest from Győr things started to get exciting as more opportunities came. After meeting @dillegal95 at an open-deck then playing a bunch of b2b-s, they started the new collective @heat95rave.

Additionally, he is a co-founder of the Augsburg-based event series @publicenergy_, where he continues to push boundaries and redefine the electronic music scene. Look out for his upcoming video set for this mix. He made for this years Kontrast Festival in Germany, where he will showcase his talent and passion for music in visual.
