Darren Daz Dalton aka one half of dj duo Get Down Edits & the man behind all the Get Down Edits production work has been a music lover since his early teens & began collecting Vinyl back in 95 at the tender age of 15 by the time he hit 17 he was out playing gigs in bars & clubs in his native Waterford City & has been djin ever since, 
Over the years he has supported or played beside international djs like Kenny Dope (MAW), 
Kerri Chandler, Chez Damier, Greg Wilson, DJ Deep, The Revenge, Atjazz & Charles Webster to name a few & as part of Get Down Edits alongside dj partner Martin Roche has 
been doing the festival and international circuit with great reception playing some incredible events including the famous Glastonbury in 2016, Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Electric Elephant in Croatia, the House of Disco Warehouse Project Takeover in London, and so on. Summer 2017 saw Get Down Edits playing as part of the Glitterbox Ibiza family alongside huge names like Dimitri From Paris and Aeroplane at the incredible Hi Ibiza venue and Defected Croatia at The Garden in Tisno, they also went onto to play Suncebeat Croatia,
Production wise Darren grew a curiosity & interest in how the records he was playing were put together very early & started doing edits for use in his own dj sets back 2001,
It was years later before the whole edit scene emerged & he was drawn to it straight away & under the advise & encouragement of Greg Wilson set up Get Down Edits the record label in 2011, since then the labels put out 6 vinyl releases which included his own edit work along side guest producers like Late Nite Tuff Guy, Deep & Disco (JKriv), Fingermann, LTJ as well as releasing with other labels including Disco Deviance, Editorial, Samosa Records, Glenview Records, Daje Funk, Queen & Disco, Wall Of Fame, Masterworks Music, Nang, Paper Disco, Hot Digits, File Under Disco, Re-Loved, Golden Soul, Slighty Transformed, Hotbox Boogie, Reckless Records, Deep Sense, Alpaca Edits, Unkwn Records, Ism Records, Elevation Recordings & Midnight Riot.
Darren has also been busy with remix work & has remixed for artists like Funk My Jesus, Nine Lives, Heion, Slync, JMRS, Darran Nugent, Oh Yeah, JFunc, Stephen Richards, Smashed Atoms, JB Dizzy, Jay Ru, Fran Deeper & Rayko, Soopaman inc feat Andre Espeut, JKriv & The Disco Machine As well fellow Irish artists & acts like Le Galaxie, King Kong Company, Kormac, Danny G & The Major 7th`s & Peter Vogelaar as well as written some original pieces of his own including “Sweet Love” where he teamed up with two piece Irish electronic act Cut Once which got released with a serious of remixes from Mix & Fairbanks, Fingerman, Jay Ru, Micko Roche,

Snips is the founder of Barbershop Records and co founder of Livin' Proof, a veteran of the UK Hip Hop scene with over 15 years experience as one of the cities most prolific club DJs. Snips has held down residencies across the capital consistently as well as Djing for Hip Hops elite including Kanye West, Mos Def & Freddie Gibbs. 
Now residing in NYC, Snips is equally as comfortable playing alongside NYC Heavyweights Stretch Armstrong, DJ Spinna and Moma as he was UK staples Tim Westwood, Benji B and Shortee Blitz. While maintaining a presence between the two cities Snips regularly travels globally headlining shows in Dubai, Croatia, France, Hong Kong, Ibiza & Sydney to name just a few places. 
With 10 years worth of transatlantic production credits across Hip Hop's underground (Sean Price, Conway, SAS, Skyzoo), 2018 saw Snips emerge as a budding solo artist, releasing a slew of projects on his own label “Barbershop Records” fusing the production styles of Hip Hop, House, Soul, Jazz and Funk in the same fashion he's known for as a DJ.
Snips' current production and remix credits range from Nu Jazz artist Kamaal Williams to UK rapper Giggs, showcasing his ability to comfortably move between such varying sounds. Snips debut solo single “The Product” featuring Will Stowe was released on Classic/Defected in late 2019 and follow up "Say It" featuring Pauline Taylor in March 2021. 
After 5 years hosting a weekly show on Londons Kiss FM, Snips can now be heard broadcasting his  eclectic “Barbershop” show on NYCs “Halfmoon BK” on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 5-6pm
