This electronic musical piece uses granular generation instruments, which create sounds from microscopic fragments of audio signals. It expresses the theme of the fragmentation of reality and the difficulty of understanding it in its entirety. It plays with the contrasts between the granular sounds, which are noisy, chaotic and unpredictable, and the more melodic sounds, which are harmonious, ordered and regular. It thus shows the tensions and emotions that arise from the confrontation between the real and the ideal, between the multiple and the unity, between the disorder and the order. The electronic musical piece solicits the listener both intellectually and affectively, by making them feel the complexity and beauty of reality, but also its tearing and emotional character. It also integrates sound extracts from D. Bohm, a physicist who proposed an interpretation of quantum mechanics based on the idea of an implicit order , which underlies the explicit order of the observable universe. These sound extracts illustrate Bohm’s vision of the nature of reality, non-locality, causality and consciousness. They enrich the electronic musical piece with a philosophical and scientific dimension, which invites us to question our certainties and our representations.

Hei!

It's difficult to categorize my music into just one genre. It draws influence from trip hop, breakbeat, instrumental and abstract hip hop, heavy rock, techno, minimal, sound art, contemporary, glitch, and more!

I admire many artists, and you might detect their influence in my work. Among the best are Daft Punk and Massive Attack, followed by 90s Ninja Tune artists like Amon Tobin, DJ Vadim, The Herbaliser, and Kid Koala. I've had the pleasure of seeing many of them live at the legendary Ilosaari Rock festivals. I also appreciate French hip hop, particularly Le Peuple de l'herbe. Other inspirations include The Prodigy, Portishead, DJ Krush, DJ Shadow, Gorillaz, Moby, Mono, Thievery Corporation, Future Sound of London, and more. My taste spans from acid jazz and funk to lo-fi and even punk or hard metal, depending on my mood.

I've been making music since the early 2000s, starting with MadTracker software (I am fine with the program name). A few years ago, I transitioned to music production with Ableton Live 10, and I'm currently using version 12. Some of my tracks are experimental, stemming from explorations over the past 20 years, while others are entirely new compositions. This experimentation is perhaps influenced by my background in research—I'm eager to explore new territories, including music.

Nature is my second passion. I tend to a micro-farm in the summer, raising sheep and chickens and restoring it to its traditional biohabitat. In the winter, I evade to the city and brood there, craving for the countryside's spring, summer, and autumn... or dreaming being in hot and sunny place by a sea or river...

I'm open to collaborations, akin to scientific endeavors where novel and exciting outcomes emerge from teamwork. Feel free to reach out!
