I sat down at my piano and started playing some chords. I created a short melodic scale and fit it into the beats, forming the foundation of "Goodbye." Then I went to the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and recorded this base, adding a drum loop to guide me (which I later removed and built the percussion from scratch). I added some guitars and the bass. When I listened to what I had created, I liked a small melody... I took that melody and placed it in various parts of the song, like a leitmotif. The guitars then supported that melody, creating harmonies. I loved the result. I would dare to say it's something completely new compared to what I've done in LOFI, with a strong focus on melody. However, it still carries my essence, that warmth and tranquility with some hints of nostalgia. The title "Goodbye" fits well. I chose it thinking of something romantic since the song also has a touch of romance. "Goodbye" could represent a moment of separation, not necessarily the permanent separation of a couple, but rather temporarily parting ways from something or someone one loves or cares about.
