A. I would describe myself as someone that definitely lets music speak for itself. Whatever vibe you hear me play, is how I feel. djing for me is the best way i can execute who I am and how to connect with the listener. 

Q. How long have you been a part of the NY music scene?
A. I’ve been a part of NYC scene for about 5 years now. 

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. This mix is some of my top favorite underground hiphop classics. A lot of dope women in this mix as well which is always important for me to include in everything I do. Making this mix had me revisit a lot of times in my life so definitely was an emotional one to make. Hiphop will always be my one true love and something i’ll always find my way back to. Hopefully you enjoy this just as much as i did making it. Peace and love.

With Eric Maul on electric guitar, bass, and synth and Jeremy Rist on beat machines and loop machine, this is the product of many months of jamming/practicing together.

This song features an "Intergalactic" Beastie Boys sample and also samples from a conversation recorded over dinner with my roommate Arnand. Arnand is an age-less, bearded, mythical wonder from England who often shares meals with Tash and I. Our conversations are super fun and tend to jump all over the place. Arnand can talk about anything and he is full of quotables so I attempted to do so here. 

When I played Arnand the song he took the headphones off and asked me when the introduction was going to be over...I was like, "Yo, the song is like practically done my man!" He thought there was going to be singing at some point...

D'Angelo Live

Made around 2010 with my good friend Romy and thanks to my manager Brahm. Brahm found the beat and sent it to me, I wrote lyrics, we edited them, and then he helped pay for a studio session. Shouts to Andy Sanchez for driving me and Romy to the studio. It was one of our first times ever in a real studio having a real session. The whole ride over there Romy was going through a messy breakup on the phone so I wasn't sure if she would even sing on the track or not but she did and she killed it!
