A fantastic four artist EP "Hidden Gems From The Vault" is the next instalment to drop from Newcastle Upon Tyne based label 22 Digit Records. Celebrating past releases in different shapes and sizes with previously unreleased remixes and re-works from label favourites and friends.
 
Ludowick’s killer track from the summer of 2013 kicks things off with a dubbed out version from Manchester’s Moodymanc again raising the bar with a classic dub rework. Label boss William Welts track "Vibe & Soal" gets a full on bassline treatment from Melos + Kyber, while label favourite Tom Ellis gets re-worked by new boys 17 Days. Finally Midicult is reshaped and flipped front to back by Ludowick. All in all a release packed with some diamonds and there is no need to rob any banks for this gem laden EP.

This new version of Weekend harks right back to the Phreek original from 1978 with beautiful orchestration, live percussion, subtle electronics and all the other ingredients of the classic disco sound.

Add in a echo heavy dub and you've got a crowd pleaser with more panache than most.

First up, HNNY takes a saccharine r’n’b cover of perhaps the greatest power ballad EVER and turns it into a perfect little edit – as simple as it is inspired, this is an obvious end-of-the-night-turn-the-lights-up-in-the-club-anthem if we ever heard one.
