Very minimal in nature, dub techno is atmospheric, ethereal and spacey, sometimes edging near the line of ambient music. Actually, although indeed techno, this variant isn’t exactly music meant for dancing -you’d be hard pressed to find a warehouse party going hard until sunrise blasting these soothing sounds. Rather, dub techno is music meant for the car ride home after the party, satisfying for both active and passive listening, these dreamy soundscapes promote a sense of peace and calm while simultaneously instigating notions of contemplation and wonder.

Besides being an artist who puts together beautiful selections, we got familiar with Mandarín as a pivotal part of the community in the first place. A name who always pops up everywhere, and someone who has a vast musical knowledge by being so invested in everything that is put out by other artists and platforms. It only made sense to ask her to create a mix that represents her feelings of Far Blue, as she has been part of the process for a long time now. An artist that truly understands where Far Blue comes from, which she showcases in a versatile one hour and thirty one minutes mix.

In the heart of a tempest, the air thrums with a symphony of frequencies. Thunderclaps reverberate with low, guttural roars while lightning splits the sky in shrill, electric cries. Raindrops, myriad in their descent, tap out staccato rhythms on leaves and rooftops, each splashing a note in nature's intricate composition. 

A sound artist finds inspiration in this chaotic orchestra. By capturing these raw, untamed frequencies, they blend them into their work, seeking the perfect resonance. The deep rumble of thunder enriches bass lines, grounding the soundscape with earthy vibrations. The high-pitched crackle of lightning infuses treble notes with sharp, electric clarity. Meanwhile, the rhythmic pattern of rain creates a delicate, percussive layer, weaving complexity and texture into the music.

Through the artist's skilful and deft hands, the storm's natural frequencies are transformed into tools for sonic enhancement. Each storm, unique in its ferocity and timbre, offers a new palette of sounds, expanding the artist's auditory horizons. Harnessing the chaos of nature, they find harmony, push the boundaries of what their sound can convey, and uncover new depths of emotion and resonance in their work.

GREYSCALE Special 049 - Armin Bender

After their debut with "Sakura", FINNEST presents "Feel Me In Your Soul" by Kevin Deep, in their first reference of their division "Groovy Series" On side A, we find "Feel Me In Your Soul", a very pretty minimal house with a groove full of energy and movement accompanied by some hot melodies, the main element, the vocal is super sexy, it takes you to a point of no return from which you do not want to leave. Like B-side, "Pad Love", as its name says, magical pads accompanied by a very deep bassline, this time with a more crunchy groove and an elegant vocal that makes you feel like you are in the clouds, the vibe is soft. In general, a very solid maxi for the presentation of "Groovy Series", this great release by our friend Canario, cannot be missing from your playlist.

Orion are no strangers to Delayed and this mix continues their hot streak of amazing releases and mixes. Having just released their incredible “Look At Things” EP on Molly’s Recit de Voyage, they have just blessed us with a mix. Whether on their Orion imprint or Molly’s RDV, one has grown to expect nothing short of spectacular when it comes to Orion’s output, and this mix is no exception.
The Italian duo delivers an hour of their own productions, starting out slow, slowly building up and working through a trip of ambient house and dub techno, eventually closing with a Burial-esque tune.
We’re delighted to regularly feature the Bolognese producers, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
