i was thinking of the slowdive remix when I heard it.   but, I was a little busy so I may have been confused as to which track it was.

Just spotted the new feature for "most played". I seem to have won it for this mix, which rather shows you how much I've loved listening to it over the years (even when it was tweaked)!

Paul2B started to get into mixing as a teenager.
Over the years, his music has evolved through many genres like Trance, Micro, Deep House, and Techno...
Percussion, groovy basslines and organic textures are the main ingredients of his sets. During the pandemic, music played an important role in mental health. Taking a particular interest in nature, he got more and more into ambient music. He has released mixtapes for techno labels / channels like Lowless, Anodynic Frequencies, and also contributed to a VA for N F E R E E's label.

Stellar Series Episode 65 - Paul2B (Divine Nature)

We probably don't need to tell you who Deadbeat is. (He even did a previous RA Podcast for us, all the way back in 2007.) But if you need a refresher, he's one of the most important and revered artists in dub techno. The Canadian artist came up in the Montreal scene alongside other trailblazers like Akufen and other Canadians (think Cobblestone Jazz, Mathew Jonson, Wagon Repair, etc). His early records for ~scape are some of the most classic and influential minimal there ever was, but dub is always at the heart of his work, and runs in the veins of BLKRTZ, the prolific label he runs himself.

Sa Pa, on the other hand, sits somewhere in the ambient zone. Originally from Adelaide, he's found a powerful creative sparring partner in Deadbeat. The two released their first album together, The Mountain, earlier this year. It's the 50th release on BLKRTZ and maybe one of the most monumental records in either artist's catalogue, a triple-LP that harks back to the hypnotic, plink-plonk days of yore with the strong cross-genre underpinning that marks Deadbeat's work these days, and plenty of lovely atmospheric wiggles.

The duo's lengthy RA Podcast, taken from two different recordings at their Absurd Dub Lustre party in Berlin, mirrors the LP's sound, weaving through tracks new and old. It's full of warm, dubby vibrations and smooth transitions.

He was a resident DJ at The Loft and a regular at Sónar, both in Barcelona, for many years. ABSIS has always been exploring the deepest side of electronic music which varies between ambient and techno. Solid Steel in association with Serato (13th May) Roly Porter takes charge of Hr 1 this week. He began his career as part of Vex’d alongside Kuedo, releasing two albums, Degenerate and Cloud Seed, both on Planet Mu, along with several singles on Bristol’s Subtext imprint. He later returned to Subtext under his own name to begin a solo project, releasing 'Aftertime' and 'Life Cycle of a Massive Star'. Earlier this year he released Third Law on TriAngle and 2 tracks from the album feature in his mix alongside music from Surgeon, Kowton, Amnesia Scanner, Yearning Kru and Aisha Devi.

Bio:

Rene Lorenzo, dj and music producer born in Madrid, began his career in the electronic musical scene in 2001 as a Dj-residence in club Merlin. During that time we could enjoy his sets in parties and raves nearby Madrid.

In 2004 joined the collective Xrave, playing in private parties and events like Power Sound Festival, and cubs like Club 20, Torsion, Velada,Zer03, Maxim, Okana and Made among others.

 With the newborn label CELLULAR MEMORY Rene Lorenzo’s artistic career is consolidated. The passion he feels for electronic music is reflected in his productions where styles like techno, minimal, ambient, house and downtempo are mixed.

His dj-sets are based on the underground techno sound, he tries out with another music styles like chicago house, broken beat,Electronic or ambient but always with his characteristic and eclectic touch.
He's Vinyl and hardware sound lover.
Nowadays he is focused in the production of electronic music, under his label called "Cellular Memory" he launched his first 12 inch EP, Seismo
