For over two decades Groove Armada has been established as one of the planet's best loved and biggest selling dance acts. As comfortable on the big stages as they are in sweat soaked basements, the boys cross genres and styles with ease.

Steve Farr’s love affair with electronic music is now in its fifteenth year; initially he found his dancing feet on hard dance floors at clubs such as Godskitchen and Sundissential .

His preference has mellowed over the years; he now has a great passion for piano led uplifting Disco House and Vocal Electro.

After buying his first pair decks in 2002, it wasn’t until 2006 that Steve branched out into the Midlands club scene.

Steve is now a well establish player in the industry and has played a big part at nights in the midlands scene at clubs and bars including GatecrasherLovesNottingham,The Market Bar, Lizzard, Snug, Rahi (formerly Sugar), I Bar, The Warehouse (formerly cuba Libra), Escusha, T5 and the Underground

Steve is quite literally the life and Soul of any party and his enthusiasm, passion and energy behind the decks shines through to the dancefloor – to see him in action would have you believing that this guy has been doing this thing for years, he makes it look all so easy.

2009 was a fantastic year for this ambitious dj, securing many gigs alongside superstar djs at gatecrasher nottingham at nights such as Lovezoo and Superstar Boudoir. Steve also launched his own radio show on housenationuk.com which atracts listeners from around the globe. Wrapping up the year Leaving the crasher umbrella after rocking well over a 1500 capacity main room crowd shortly after midnight on NYE To launch a new night Therapy, this night will try to recapture the energy and atmosphere of years gone by, with an emphasis on the dancefloor.

Having previously toured and released under different guises and styles, GAWP is certainly no stranger to the music industry... 

As a result of a lifetime in the studio perfecting his craft and being mindful to only put out music of the highest standard, GAWP has already released a string of tracks on Mixmag’s ‘Label Of The Decade’ Dirtybird, alongside a number of highly respected imprints including Toolroom, Elrow, Incorrect, In:rotation, Night Bass and Sink or Swim. 

GAWP’s productions consistently gain support from a vast spectrum of established artists and peers encompassing the likes of Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Fatboy Slim, Chris Lake, Fisher, Idris Elba, Mark Knight, Walker and Royce, John Summit and Kyle Watson. 

This support across the board has quite rightly translated into DJ shows the world over. From previous tours in the US and Australia to regular events throughout Europe, 

GAWP has consistently proven himself on the circuit. Tipped as DJ Mag’s “One To Watch” and the direct support act for Oliver Heldens and Gene Farris on their respective tours, GAWP is able to provide accompaniment to a wide range of DJ’s whilst never failing to showcase his signature, unorthodox sound.
