This week head to Munich, Germany and sample the smooth sound of prolific duo Rhode & Brown.

Made up of two friends Friedrich and Stephan, the pair joined forces back in 2010 through their shared passion for quality music and drive for success. It was a match made in heaven and the pair have now released with respected labels such as Shall Not Fade, theBasement Discos, Toy Tonics, Honey Butter, Slam City Jams, and Permanent Vacation.

Their most recent project sees the pair back on Permanent Vacation for their debut album ‘Everything In Motion’. A carefully considered and cohesive album that covers 80s sounding synths, lushtronica, a sprinkling of ambient, all with their signature House and Techno foundation. It’s just been made available for listening so do yourself a favor and check it out.

Bio:

Almost Famous is a Berlin based DJ. Growing up with 90s hip hop, he gradually found his way to house and disco music through funk and soul. While he always had a passion for sharing music and collecting records, he started DJing only a few years back. What started as a gig for fun at a friend’s birthday party slowly but surely developed into a real passion for mixing music on a regular basis. Together with a couple of friends, Almost Famous organizes and hosts ‘Not In My House’ and ‘Disko, No Disko’, both recurring club nights at Humboldthain Club in Berlin. Though bringing joy to people on the dance floors of Berlin is what initially drove his love for mixing music, he adapted to the current circumstances by starting to contribute to more and more guest mixes for house and disco lovers to enjoy, wherever they are.

After our last edition of A Chance To Dance saw us host New York based Will Buck we return to home soil here in the UK this week where we are joined by Liverpool based DJ & producer Petals In Sound. 

Petals in Sound (Louise Baldwin) is a UK-based producer and DJ. After over a decade of living, working and partying in Southeast London, Petals In Sound recently relocated to Crosby in Liverpool.   

She has released music on labels such as Closer To Truth, Dirt Crew Records and DJ Spens Unquantize Records which have picked up support on the likes of NTS and the Slothboogie Radio Show. 

Her unique sound has been described as atmospheric house combined with deep electronica, whilst maintaining a deep house, jazz-like feel to her productions. She counts everyone from Daniel Avery to Chaos in the CBD as big influences. Catch her brilliant guest mix during hour 2!

Fouk’s brilliance has been obvious on recent work for their own label Outplay and Razor ‘n Tape, as well as their respective solo projects. We’ve kept a close connection, teaming up whenever possible for Heist showcases, with highlights in Amsterdam’s “Claire” and Paris’ “Concrete”. Seeing their work and enthusiasm made it abundantly clear that it would only be a matter of time before they’d show us what the next step would look -or better yet- sound like.

Berlin based Spanish born producer @carlothings has built a strong following over the last few years through both his own releases and via his exciting label @aterralrecords which has recently released EP's from Black Loops and Lis Sarroca. 

His latest release the 'Mediterraneo EP', which lands this week on Aterral, is a serious collection of timeless house tracks fusing a number of styles to create four tracks which are high on drama and full of dancefloor nous.
