« Berlin-based Frag Maddin bursts onto STRCTR with four hefty cuts. Maddin, whose hard-hitting sound has touched Mistress Recordings, Madhouse Records, W&O Street Tracks and Snatch! in the past makes his way into 2020 in style. Side A’s lead track kicks of the label’s sixth release; the aptly-titled ‘Industrial Deafness’, is one warehouse-proof, downright dirty jumble of loose 4x4 drums and hardware groove. Nick Beringer’s remix forms its own subtle groove with a minimal house edge – more intimate bar, less cavernous warehouse. Side B’s ‘Stuhltanz’ has floating flutes, jazz keys and one catchy vocal sample – a weighty kick and bumping bassline brings it together. And the DOS remix takes the euphoria of the special track one step further, adding a warm break and a complimentary sprinkling of acid. »

Very happy announce Interstate debut on the channel. 

DJ from Bielefeld, Germany Interstate likes to make a little music in his bedroom. After his debut EP on Whytenumbers „called“ Untitled at the age of 17, he until now released a bunch of tracks and own EPs on labels such as Waxtefacts and own label Story About You. Significant for his tracks is mostly the classic old-schoolish sounding drumwork and jazzy melodics. Both combined give a nice contrast of forward-pushing dance floor material as well as laid back house grooves. After taking a short break from working as Interstate, he will be back in 2020 with new material.

“This track was made during a summer trip to Paris two years ago. My best mate is a big GSH fan, and we were always saying we could turn “Gun” into some banging house material. My computer died months later, the project was lost and only an mp3 copy survived in the cloud, so I’ve never been able to go back and perfect it. I didn’t wanna remake it either, because I think it really has a little bit of every one of the guys who were living in that small flat in Pigalle with me during part of that summer, and I could never replicate that essence again. Hearing it always brings back really happy memories which remind me of the power of friendship and being surrounded by people you love. I hope it can help brighten your day a little bit too during these shitty times!”
