Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music Performance, Visual Art and New Media

Founded in 2003, Decibel Festival became a unique platform for exposing attendees to leading-edge multimedia art from around the globe. With a focus on live performance, interactive multimedia art, state-of-the-art sound and technology based education; Decibel solidified itself as one of the premier electronic music festivals and promotional organizations in the world. The five-day festival program averaged over 25,000 attendees a year. Outside of the annual festival program, Decibel Events has produced hundreds of one-off events, ranging from intimate club performances to massive international festival stages.

In 2015 Decibel celebrated its final festival program in the Seattle area. Since then Decibel has been functioning as a Los Angeles-based event/production company. Decibel’s commitment to hosting leading-edge artists and educators continues as they prepare for their 20 year anniversary celebration in 2023.

Stalwart of the American Garage/2-Step/House late 90's vinyl rave and club scene and healing vocal artist bringing nearly three decades of global performance to create heart-centered, transformative experiences

Juno - "It's sonic urban poetry o'clock here with the latest release from deep 'n' dubby producer Searcher Of Hearts. It's all very shady as to the identity of SOH, but it appears that they want the music to speak for itself. What we get are four tracks of crackly audio texture layered over post-dubstep/future garage beats. "Enamour" features scattered rhythms and soothing synths, "Halcyon" is pure liquid garage and "Keepsake" is all about fuzzed-out synth loops and slo-mo RnB vibes."

Starting work in the spring of 2008, Local Hero, Lady Foursquare, Angel Alanis and additional contributors including 12th Planet (of Cartel, Renegade Hardware, Tech Itch) and more released a remix album of Portishead's "Third" called, "Third Floor: Portishead’s ‘Third’ Reimagined by Noise Floor Crew." Media such as New York Magazine (who heralded NFC in the same breath as Outkast, Three-Six Mafia and My Morning Jacket), Big Shot Magazine, Raveline, Iheartcomix, Urbnet, Confront Magazine and others praised the album roundly. The singles peppered dozens of prominent radio shows, including Josh Wink's BBC Radio-1 Essential Mix and Dave Clarke's White Noise Radio. Shortly after the departure of Alanis, Noise Floor Crew, now comprised of Foursquare and Local Hero completed a remix for Justice ("Stress or Justice") which was re-edited by Boys Noize. Noise Floor Crew now joins the production team for DJ Pierre's full length album, due in 2011 as well as upcoming releases on Acid Jack's Idiot House and their home label, Dust Traxx. In various projects, crew members have produced remixes for the aforementioned Justice, Simian Mobile Disco, Dizee Rascal, Lauren Flax w/ Sia, Greenskeepers, DJ Donna Summer and many others. In 2010, they will continue to release remixes and originals on labels such Dust Traxx, Uni.form, Idiot House, Play Me Records and Nightshifters.
