Long-time Transistor selecta EMMEX was joined by the newly made TRN resident Nickolai, for just 2 hours of chemistry, breaks and bass.

Starting off the first 40 mins, Nickolai shows us why he is the self proclaimed 'Worlds best warm up DJ', spinning some incredibly groovy productions with an infectious 2-step rhythm.

Both EMMEX & Nickolai then run a 40 minute B2B, as every link up just keeps getting better between them, covering various shared influences from dubstep to UK Funky to breaks & some curveball blends.

EMMEX then takes over the remaining time, showcasing his love for a specific style of Jungle. After plenty shows where he saw there were 5 mins left and he would always play some jungle riddims but it felt cut short, he took the time to work on a playlist which forms his atmospheric and hard-hitting sound as we know it to date.

I wrote this for my sweet boy Marty. It's a guide for his soul to transcend into bliss and be free from pain and to flourish in the afterlife.

I feature his breathing in the intro to the track. And I feature his bark at the end to represent that he has transcended into the blissful afterlife but that he will always be with me in spirit.

I'll miss my boy forever.

Italian producer Soreab returns to Beat Machine Records with ‘Wrinkles’, a four-track EP which features vocals from pioneering hip hop artist Parallax and two remixes from BBS owner Benton and Planet Mu and Sneaker Social Club affiliate Basic Rhythm. The release proceeds records on DRIFT KINGS, Club Late Music and Top Billin Music. 

Talking about the release, Soreab says, “I was playing for my crew parties (Sobborghi) at The Alibi in Dalston and realised I couldn’t play my own tunes because they were not DJ friendly at all, so I used to end up spinning other artist’s dubs. That’s when I got motivated to try making my own productions playable in clubs while keeping my own sound because I wanted to avoid to just making simple drum tracks. Overall “Wrinkles” is an EP that despite the title, conveys happiness and excitement with each track  inspired by episodes where I got gassed, astonished and overwhelmed in my private life.”
