Furtherfell is a series of AU’s, set after Canon Underfell's various hypothetical neutral endings. It is based off of the concept of Aftergore, but differs in the protagonist in the new human, Hare. This may differ in some points from Underfell, whether it be due to there being no information yet or simply things we decided to change.
"Furtherfell - Rethroned" follows on from an incomplete pacifist ending. Toriel comes out of hiding, and establishes herself as “Mother” of the underground, making swift changes to how things work. She maintains a strict rule, attempting to prevent another reign of tyranny. Humans are to be treated with kindness, and to be delivered to the Queen.

This whole AU has done quite a lot for my mental health. Working on this has built my self-esteem and kind of reminded me of what few talents I actually do have.

"One year ago, on this date, we released and announced "Where We Left Off.", a cover of the Aftergore track of the same name to the, at that time, new Soundcloud Account for the officially endorsed Aftergore spin off and AU, Furtherfell. It was just a little fun side thing a few of the Aftergore team members felt would be cool and interesting to do. Really with how inherently convoluted the premise was, adding more to an already rather complex concept, I didn't think it'd go anywhere, and that it'd be stay rather niche. It quickly grew way beyond what I imagined it ever could reach, and I'd like to say, partially gaining it's own audience separate from Aftergore as well, though we certainly had a generous head start not afforded to most new AUs. 
Honestly I still can't quite believe we've been going that long. An entire year is a very long time, and one I can't even entirely grasp my head around. I really didn't think that we'd ever even get here, nevermind the fact we got here in just a years time. Seriously, 500 whole people, listening and caring about the things we make. This is by far the most popular project I own, and I'm only here because of the people who've helped the team. And sure, the path to getting here has been rocky sometimes, we've all gone through a lot this year, and yet, despite all that, we still miraculously ended up here. I really couldn't've ever done this without everyone's support. But more specifically, while I appreciate all of my team members, I want to give my thanks to Spudward especially. He's the only reason this project goes on the way it does, and I need to thank him more. And thank you to the community! The people who tune in every day for this. Thank you so much. No, seriously, I really wouldn't be the person that I am today without this silly little niche convoluted project. I've met so many friends, learnt so many things, done so much... And all thanks to this. So thank you. Truly. 
And while the title may indicate that this is the closing chapter, for us, it honestly still feels we're only just beginning! We've got so much planned and so much we want to release. So, here's to more Furtherfell in 2022 and onwards!" - Penny

So, what is FURTHERFELL?

Furtherfell is an AU, split into several branches, portraying the various hypothetical neutral endings of the 'canon' Underfell. It is inspired by the concept of Aftergore, though only in concept and not in execution. In this instance, 'canon' refers to the version on Tumblr, created by the infinitely talented Fella. They don't actually consider it canon, but for Furtherfell it most certainly is. It can be found at https://underfell.tumblr.com.

Our story follows a human by the name of Hare, entering a world they do not understand, that has been forever changed by the actions of someone they've never even met.
We won't be 100% accurate to Underfell; some elements may be changed, either due to a lack of information or just due to us wanting something to differ.

It says here FURTHERFELL is a SERIES of AUs, what are its variations?

FURTHERFELL has several variations to represent the different neutral outcomes which UNDERTALE (and therefore UNDERFELL) can have. We do not have all of the hypothetical variations possible out as branches, since that would take too much work, so we only have Incomplete Pacifist (Rethroned) King Mettaton (Drama! Romance! Bloodshed!), King Papyrus (Vive La Révolution), and.. That one doesn't exist. Also there's a self insert.

How do neutral endings work? Are you using the Trust, Betrayal, and Closure system? 
FURTHERFELL does follow the Canonfell system of neutral endings, which is explained at https://underfell.tumblr.com/post/651913101407584256/these-are-just-thoughts-and-im-spewing-ideas-i. Hare's run doesn't follow the traditional Trust, Closure and Betrayal system from UNDERFELL entirely. Hare is capable of killing monsters on their own.
Frisk's actions did follow the Trust, Closure and Betrayal system. But with a twist we won't reveal yet.
