Furtherfell is an AU, split into several branches, portraying the various hypothetical neutral endings of the 'canon' Underfell. In this instance, 'canon' refers to the version on Tumblr, created by the infinitely talented Fella. They don't actually consider it canon, but for Furtherfell it most certainly is. It is inspired by the concept of Aftergore, though only in concept and not in execution. Our story follows a human by the name of Hare, entering a world they do not understand, that has been forever changed by the actions of someone they've never even met.
We won't be 100% accurate to Underfell; some elements may be changed, either due to a lack of information or just due to us wanting something to differ.

- Finally head to Wastefall, the garbage dump of this world, if you'd like a little bloodshed in your life. The Overseer's gladiatorial arena is the perfect location for you to get your LV rising and your hands adequately dusty.

In this branch, Papyrus takes the role of Alphys. Mettaton witnessed his traps back in Snowdin, and recognised some genuine genius behind the ridiculous ineffectiveness. And so Papyrus takes on the job he has been gifted but, rather than changing his life to match it... He fits it to his goals. Papyrus still wants to capture himself a Human, after all that the last one did. 
Though his traps have barely improved in terms of quality, their scope and frequency have gone through the roof!

It says here FURTHERFELL is a SERIES of AUs, what are its variations?

FURTHERFELL has several variations to represent the different neutral outcomes which UNDERTALE (and therefore UNDERFELL) can have. We do not have all of the hypothetical variations possible out as branches, since that would take too much work, so we only have Incomplete Pacifist (Rethroned) King Mettaton (Drama! Romance! Bloodshed!), King Papyrus (Vive La Révolution), and.. That one doesn't exist. Also there's a self insert.

How do neutral endings work? Are you using the Trust, Betrayal, and Closure system? 
FURTHERFELL does follow the Canonfell system of neutral endings, which is explained here.

Frisk's actions did follow the Trust, Closure and Betrayal system. But with a twist we won't reveal yet.
