Producing is a very different art than performing live.
The dimension of sharing is indeed displaced.
On a stage, the music-maker shares an intimate process openly, creating a whole living organism where the sound, the audience and himself are an equal part of.
On the studio, the artist is alone, and in this loneliness he is facing not only his machines, but himself; and the sense, in music, forms itself in the mind of the composer while creating.
What happens then, when two very different minds, going through two very different creating process, decide to share this ultimately intimate experience?
The singularities of each personalities blend together, and through the music comes a new perception, the one of a musical friendliness.
Music is animated by the desire to explore the unknown, and music has for only role to keep the spirituality of each individual alive – and a piece created by two different visions takes you to unexpected territories.

Alexander Kowalski is a German techno producer who elegantly fuses elements from classic Detroit and historical Berlin techno. His affection for sophisticated bass lines, deep beats and challenging arrangements breathes new life into techno. He knows perfectly how to program his tracks to sound straight, deep, housy, dubby or funky - and this versatility is one of the reasons for his reputation with both ravers and underground-oriented techno nerds.

We are happy to announce the 1st episode of the brand new Subosc mix series.

This show with guest: Kaelan

Kaelan's first approach to music took place at the age of 11 years when he started to study piano, and shortly after, thanks to his great devotion and deep passion for everything concerning music, he was involved in different local bands.
Subsequently, his love for electronic music started to blossom, thanks to great artists such as Basic Channel, Robert Hood, Substance et Vainqueur, Derrick May, Jeff Mills and many others.
During the last few years, his necessity to propose a multifaceted vision of electronic music, made it necessary to create new projects, such as “Kaelan”, which became his main alias for techno. Under his side project “2030” he propose electro inspired music, while “Ixm” is his pseudo for dub techno music.
He is owner of Subosc and co-owner of Ranges label projects. The former aims to propose modern and classy techno music, while the latter is a tribute to reminiscent dub techno sounds.

As You Like It, like all of you, has gone on full lockdown. All of our shows over the coming several months have been cancelled or postponed to an undetermined date. However, in the coming days, we will release a series of podcasts and interviews as planned before COVID-19, supporting and showcasing local artists that were scheduled to be on the bills. 

We know that it’s a trying time for everyone’s finances and especially for the nightlife community who rely on the box office to cover expenses. La historia de Fanzine se remonta al año 2013, cuando nació este proyecto dedicado a dar brillo a la música del futuro en tierras gallegas y con vocación internacional. Han desarrollado decenas de propuestas y eventos que los que han contado con alguno de los artistas más influyentes y destacados del panorama global.
