Kontinum [Nebula | Leipzig]

Initially inspired by the subcultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.
In 2017 Kontinum co-founded the project @nebulakollektiv and, after organising their first raves, the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.
In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical affairs, Kontinum continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his releases on labels such as The Gods Planet, Lowless, Fur:ther Sessions and Agos.

Iffie is an up-and-coming dj and radio host based in Athens.
Her sound explores dark and deep elements with an affinity for modern techno. She loves making her sets as cohesive as possible, intertwining various genres by leaving no room for sudden transitions.
She was a radio show curator at the global Cannibal Radio & has established her own Podcast Series called Into The Abyss.

Born in Jerusalem and based in Tel Aviv, Assaf started his DJing career in 1994 by collecting records from all over the world. He runs the WAX2WAX podcast, focusing on House and Techno. 
He is a member of the B:Side Crew (House and Techno parties in Tel Aviv/Berlin) and, around 2020, began hosting his ‘Addictions’ Hypnotic Techno nights in Tel Aviv.
Assaf’s goal is to spread the deeper side of electronic music.

It is our pleasure to present this week's Global Vibe Radio mix, featuring Italian DJ/producer and label boss Ness.

Ness is a DJ and producer born and raised in Sardinia, acknowledged for his signature style, with a background spanning over a decade of music production, sound engineering and many years of research and fine-tuning. Through his growth as an artist, Ness has gradually developed a distinct technique with a strong focus on atmosphere combined with hypnotic rhythms. 

Having performed in some of the most relevant clubs and festivals around the globe, he steadily releases music and collaborates with several renowned techno labels within the scene. With experience as label manager through the years with partnership on Mono Records and The Gods Planet, in 2018 he established his spin-off project label called Ness Reworks. 

Ness' music and DJ sets are respected throughout the world of underground techno, widely defined as a top-tier exploration of wide range of deep hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes.

Based in Berlin, she has already played alongside artists like Joachim Spieth, A Sacred Geometry, Eric Fetcher, Birth of Frequency, Newa, Mila Glowacka... VBK mixes a percussive techno she can relate to.

"German producer Benedikt Frey likes to challenge both DJs and dancers by writhing unpredictable tracks, with the aim to push against the boundaries of functional and "safe" dance music. Although he had been producing for five years previously, his career upped a notch in 2015 upon releasing five separate records, among those Ghosts best demonstrates his penchant for shambling groove. From there, his productions went from strength to strength, culminating in a full-length album in 2018, Artificial, which abandoned club sensibility in favour of low-slung chugging rhythms. Frey's debut single, 2010's Escape/Indica, saw a low-key release on Aldebaran, causing him to step back for a couple of years to further his craft. Upon his return in 2012 Frey had amassed a wealth of material, which he spread across three labels: releasing Fairytale on Mule Electronics, Running in Circles on Live at Robert Johnson, and Delinquencies, the latter of which he released through his newly minted record label Love Pain Sunshine Rain (aka Lopasura). Frey once again stored most of his music for a further two years, springing back in 2015 with another barrage of records; amongst them were his breakthrough EP Ghosts on Crème Organization and a full-length album, 2015's Two Pole Resonance, recorded as @initinit in collaboration with @nadia-d-al and released via @hivern_disc . Frey released his debut EP for ESP Institute in 2016, titled The Lobbyist, before going on to release his debut solo album, 2017's Artificial, on the same label. He spent two years recording the album, deciding to veer away from a record full of high tempo tracks, instead delivering a broader take on his ramshackle productions, partly inspired by industrial music."
