For this @DarkScienceElectro premiere, we check in with @generali_minerali on Undersound Recordings

For the next release on the label, @undersoundlondon reaches to the Caucasian country of Georgia with this electro 4-tracker from Generali Minerali. The up-and-coming artist is the booker and sound engineer at the Drama Bar in Tbilisi. He opens the EP with two darker jams with swirly 303 lines on steady 808 rhythms. Influences from the late Microlith permeate these tracks, as the artist mentions him as one of his biggest inspirations. The B-side slows the tempo down with '808 Dream' where delayed melancholic melodies are intertwined with rough saw waves. Finally, “Evening Mood” offers the perfect mood for a warm-up or after-party with its downtempo swing and drums.

Ekman is no stranger to Shipwrec. With three EPs and an album, the dutchman’s brand of fire and brimstone has seared a serious impression on the Nijmegen imprint. The fourth 12” comes with a marked difference. That burning smouldering intensity that has characterised the acid soaked electro and stained techno of past records is present, however it is now sheathed. Beats are still sharp edged, as in “Verdraaide Logica”, yet keys have softened and taken on an introspection. “Kronkel” is cast in a similar mould. From a fearsome kick blooms an incredibly layered and thoughtful track where melodies bob and weave while rhythms rail. Even amidst the sinister sidling synthlines of “Anker Punten”, with its piercing and punishing percussion, there are understated pads to mellow. The glass and steel of “Vast” ends the EP. Angular lines permeate the piece, reflection and refractions arc and bend in this science fiction finale. Depth mixed devilment from start to finish.

Track from the album by @Luschn1 (Also known as IV Mickey, from our vinyls EP1 & EP2) marked the start of the new series The Mystictrax Chronicles, within which  our sublabel will publish archival recordings of Kyiv electronic musicians. “Zhitniy Dub” is a collection of mastered tracks from 2016-2017, inspired by nights in Podil district of Kyiv, parties in the old Keller Bar and Regenschirm. “This is music that will never be written, because the world has changed irreversibly. At that time the Mystictrax label was invented, small cozy parties were noisy - absolutely carefree time! ”, - Misha Luschn. The album “Zhitniy Dub” is available as a cassette or digitally on Bandcamp.
