A rare mix from the originator of Techno, Juan Atkins, as part of the celebration of three decades of Tresor, the German nightclub, label, and institution.

Recorded at the Tresor club in Berlin at the beginning of 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic turned the world upside-down, the mix spans the full spectrum of sub-genres that Techno has evolved into from its beginnings with Juan and his peers in 1980s Detroit. As such the mix is true testament to the genre from one of its founding fathers.

Juan’s classic track I Love You features on the forthcoming Tresor 30 compilation - 52 tracks of classics and exclusive commissions that map the flight path of Techno from the pioneers to the producers of today and tomorrow. This alongside the recent reissue of the seminal 3MB record Juan made alongside Moritz Von Oswald and Thomas Fehlmann perfectly encapsulates the long-lasting connection between Juan Atkins and Tresor, between Detroit and Berlin.

"Once a year in honor of the old Ostgut tradition, Berghain closes its doors to the straight crowd and unleashes a no-holds barred gay marathon where anything goes. Due to the circumstances of it being a different crowd and different vibe, I figured I'd upload the set which is a bit harder and funkier than I typically play." -DZ

Salome is a dj and producer born in Tbilisi and recently relocated in Berlin where she immediately felt like home. Her sound covers from electro to acid and techno, often even bringing it all together with her own touch, her dj sets are poised and fresh yet leading people to hard dancing trance. Salome’s music currently appears on Mechatronica, Darknet, a new EP of her will be soon out on Lobster Theremin, also have planned Herrensauna compilation, EP on Mechatronica and other projects that will be announced soon.
