Live Recordings

For a few days each summer, deep in the Amsterdamse Bos on the outskirts of Holland’s capital, you’ll find a restless pack of ravers rushing from one stage to the next in pursuit of the freshest new sounds. That’s half thanks to Casper Tielrooij, who swapped the Hague for Amsterdam and started his Dekmantel parties back in 2007. Two years later those became a label and by 2013 a festival. Now in their tenth year, the forest festivities show no signs of slowing momentum, due in part to an exceptional and quality mix of genre-agnostic rhythms. Tielrooij finds creative freedom for his patchwork of influences through Dekmantel Soundsystem: and here they are. Bassiani Podcast 167 is a groovy and undulating exploration in sound recorded live at the club's Dekmantel showcase, one that clicks, klangs and wobbles, a synth-packed and searing-hot mix courtesy of Casper’s covetable record collection.

Hey Everyone <3

Here is the recording of my set at the lovely Kune Festival in Ungdomsøen Island, Denmark.

Kune is A 5-day festival that takes place on an island 30 minutes away from Copenhagen. It is the second time I play this festival and it has always been a very special show. The stages are outsanding and the crew behind it is really pationate, as well as the crowd coming to the festival. I was also able to play vinyls which is quite unique at festivals these days. To me, Kune feels like an extremely well organised free party rather than a proper festival and I love it!

I don't really often release recording of live shows as sometimes it takes time to find the right vibe, and I am always trying different things in order to catch everyone's mood :)
This time was pretty smooth and I played some of my favorites. Even If I played the "techno stage", I tried to keep it quite housy and played faster than I usually do but still kept it groovy and fun.

Panorama Bar 06 | Ryan Elliott

The REC series curates exceptional performances from the XRDS festival 2023, shining a spotlight on artists who authentically capture our passion for electronic music. Our most recent recording features Superski's live set at The Outskirts on 19.08.23.

Voiski and Eliott Litrowski, both fixtures in the scene and acclaimed for their distinctive sounds, have collaborated under the alias Superski. They focus on consistently bright and melodic compositions, channelling the current electro trend through the lens of Italo disco.

This collaboration has given birth to the term Italo-techno—a fusion akin to pop music, blending melancholy with soaring melodies and textural dynamics in a manner often overlooked in conventional dance floor music. 

At its core, what makes Superski as a project exceptional is its ability to seize on the pop potential within the Italo-house-techno crossover and amplify it. This amplification doesn't compromise the foundation of heavy bass or powerful kicks necessary to propel the dance floor. We are honoured to have had this twofold at our festival and are excited to share the experience with you.

I haven’t been doing much warm up lately, but I’m always excited to open a good party - especially in such a wonderful space as Ikke Åben (a small warehouse in Copenhagen). I played quite early and kept it slower than usual, transitioning from ambient to house, to electro, couple of guilty pleasures, and a bit of everything in between.
It was a nice evening, so here it is - enjoy!

Breaking in our waves with a special two-hour round of genre-busting floor hoodoo, here comes Luxemburg-via-Germany’s one and only Ogazón. Nimbly walking the tightrope between sensuous house folds and more rugged, up-for-the-jugular techno on a deep, dubby tip, Ogazón treats us to a high-end vinyl workout flush with immersive, cinematic motion and proper low-slung club-oriented extrapolations. The result is a mix that swings the pendulum between sheer blazing functionality and an escapist mindset, sparking off the inextinguible will to go out and rave your night away from the daily hassle, and you can trust Ogazón for she certainly knows how to teleport dancers to a whole cozier, comely dimension in the twinkling of an eye. Andreas Baumecker launched his DJ career in the early 90s, a Frankfurt native coming of age in the halcyon days of his country’s reunification. His first stop was the city’s storied and centrally located Romantica, then its affiliate Intimbar where reps from house label Playhouse picked him up for buying duties at record store Delirium. After an uptick in local bookings, he made a brief stop in Mannheim for more of the same before moving to Berlin in 2004, where a recently opened Panorama Bar scouted him as resident and offered him the role of in-house booker for its Berghain operations. As word got out and the city started to draw larger crowds he became a fundamental force in crafting the club’s story. Hesitant to define the upstairs-downstairs split as house and techno, he practices his preachings through an approach that embraces a range of different sounds. ‘Surprise is important’ and his 25,000 strong vinyl collection lends a hand in the process, an assemblage that oscillates between disco, house, electro, techno, breakbeat and pop; the key is to capture the spirit of a crowd. This strategy has borne not only his label Freundinnen (put on hiatus in 2007, relaunched in 2023), but a lasting collaboration with sparring partner Sam Barker as half or Barker and Baumecker (four 12” records and two albums on his alma mater’s imprint Ostgut Ton to prove it). nd_baumecker deals in all things funky and uplifting, a thread of life-affirming melodies and historically literate beats that drive seamlessly forward. Bassiani Podcast 255 alludes to his well stocked portfolio of references, with hints of disco and balearic house, it's more of what his fans know and love to usher in the warmer months; this latest episode is full of spacey tenor, refreshing and gently rolling, breezy chill-out expertly compiled by this fabled German veteran.

Schooled in the sounds of Parisian institutions like Le Pulp, Batofar, and Rex Club—first as a
fan, then behind the decks—French producer and DJ Eliott Litrowski has built a dynamic and
light-hearted body of work that mirrors his joyful character.

Now based in Copenhagen, he balances his days as a designer with nights at local hotspots
like Den Anden Side and Jolene while making waves far beyond France. His razor-sharp blends
of House, electro, and Italo have taken him around the world, with tours across Asia and South
America, as well as memorable Sunday parties at the legendary Concrete in Paris. A dedicated
vinyl collector since his early DJing days, Eliott brings an analog warmth and deep musical
knowledge to every set.

Over the years, he has played some of the best clubs in the world, including Panorama Bar
and Tresor in Berlin, Mitsuki in Tokyo, Macadam in Nantes, and his beloved Rex Club in France.
From early releases on Cracki to his standout Schmock EP on Moustache Records, and his
recent Long Story Short EP on OOSHA—featuring electro legend DMX Krew on remix duty—he
continues to carve his own path with releases on Permanent Vacation and more. His signature
sound has found a home on airwaves worldwide, with appearances on Mutant Radio (Tbilisi),
Rinse France, and The Lot Radio (NYC).

With Superski, his project alongside Voiski, he’s in full takeover mode following the release of
their debut LP, Mondo Moderno, and an electrifying live set. In 2025, Eliott will release a new
solo record on Jennifer Cardini’s own Dischi Autunno
