FUSE002 is a debut album by Computer Graphics @computergraphics - an alias of Alexey Devyanin (Pixelord @pixelord, Gultskra Artikler). Here we got an original 7-tracker, representing what is contemporary 4/4 music from Alexey's point of view. A collection of straight beats mixed with quirky synthetic percussions, vintage layers and some kind of firm rusty past atmosphere, though still positive and a sort of young. 

The whole thing is supplemented with a plenty of remixes from our comrades all over - UK's Moiré @moirelines, known for his Werk Discs and R&S appears, Opal Tapes' insider and Farbwechsel master S Olbricht @s_olbricht along with his friend's A i w A @a_i_w_a from Budapest, and our Russian in-label mates Yayati @yayati and Rad Machine @radmachine. 

We got 3 versions of this release - a vinyl one containing all 7 originals plus two remixes by Moiré and S Olbricht, a 60-min cassette tape with all the tunes presented, and a digital edition of the whole thing with an exclusive "Long Version"of the track "WTF".

The cover was kindly provided by professor Bruce Randall Donald, made by himself in 1981 during the period of his work at the Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Spatial Analysis in the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University in early 80s. A renowned perfectionist, Rodriguez Jr. (AKA Olivier Mateu) has been honing his craft for 20 years. It stretches back to the Atari computer and keyboards that dominated his early production experiences, to the years spent disseminating superb on-point electronica as one half of The Youngsters on Laurent Garnier’s seminal F Communications imprint, right up until today when the artists works tirelessly to experiment with his machines in his impressive Brussels-based studio and push his sound forward. 
A mainstay of Anja Schneider’s mobilee collective since 2010, Rodriguez Jr. has been one of the jewels in the label’s crown; his effervescent live sets have made him one of the most exciting artists in his field, while his productions remain classy, catchy and always forward-thinking. 

The ‘Chrysalism’ EP sees Rodriguez Jr. tireless drive to develop his sound signature in full flight, all the while staying true to his core production principles of creating captivating, memorable electronic music.

Utilised to great effect in early stages of his recent live sets, the title track is a master class in dramatic juxtapositions and is an exquisite seven-minute composition of warm uplifting synth layers that build over a rough-edged clatter of drums delicately balancing the elements of tension and beauty on a knife’s edge.

‘Etoile Du Nord’ (literally meaning ‘Star of the North’) is a dreamy, propulsive slice of Motor City-inspired techno and the kind you could imagine soundtracking a warehouse party at 6am as the sun begins to seep through the cracks in the corrugated iron roof. 

The EP is rounded out by ‘Kenopsia’ that evokes a kind of beautiful, eerie sense of somber as delicate layers of twinkling melody bubble over the contemplative patter of drums and the light drone of bass. 

“Going back in the studio after months of intense touring, almost one year after my 'Persistence Of Vision' EP, has resulted in strong moments of self awareness and experimentation with my machines. This is why I chose titles such as 'Chrysalism' and 'Kenopsia', describing obscure sorrows you could sometimes feel, without being able to name them,” Rodriguez Jr. explains. 
“Technically, this EP is a crucial step as it's a first attempt to define what my forthcoming album will be. I had collected lots of material while travelling, and my aim was to keep on developing my sound signature in order to emphasize the core emotions - it's been all about stripping things down, focusing on melodies and textures and, once again, finding inspiration in my deepest influences such as the early techno from Detroit.”

There rarely is a musician to be seen, who feels home in more than just one musical genre the way Matthias Vogt does. In both working as a jazz musician and being a DJ/Producer, Matthias holds the ability to bring together the best of both, creating his very own unique style and music.

The Frankfurt-based jazz pianist, DJ, arranger, and producer's music has been released on Large Music, Blossom Kollektiv, Komplex de Deep, Lazy Days, Saw Recordings, and Frankfurt’s finest Polytone Records. A DJ since the mid nineties, Matthias experienced dance music’s fast growing and constantly altering change as a part of Frankfurt’s vital club scene, performing regularly at Sven Väth’s Cocoonclub. Matthias also played gigs at clubs such as The End in London, Club 11 - Amsterdam, Tresor, Cielo, and Arma 17 in Moscow and gigs around the globe.

Strictly vinyl label from Berlin Dreiklang Records release their first record from three producers with “contrasting takes on the same source material, juxtaposing and unifying three particular electronic music sub-currents.” The original tech-house track “First Contact” by London’s producer OCH is re-interpreted into dub-techno wave by the Italian producer Hydergine and reaches the cinematic drone stage through the duo Kelovolt.

The release is coming up in the middle of January on a beautiful vinyl with hand-drawn designs on sleeves by Nils Altland.

Frits Wentink has repeatedly showcased his desire to go against the grain through the left-field electronic music explored in his full-length Rarely Pure, Never Simple album and an almighty eleven EPs. Frits now returns to Detroit Swindle's Heist Recordings – after a two-year hiatus from the label as well as last year's launch of his own imprint, Bobby Donny – with his twelfth single and Heist's fourteenth catalogue number, Rising Sun, Falling Coconut.

On this new venture, Frits brings four totally original and moreish takes on electronic music as we know it. The title track lies in penultimate place on the release takes top place for us. Pitch-bent laziness and purple tinged synth countermelodies sets the laid back tone, with the skippety hi-hat occasionally making timely appearances every so often to keep the loose-natured track chugging along nicely. Another signature, dusty groove from the name that's also behind techno outpost, Will & Ink. As the label put it themselves – the release is basically a case of "classic Heist, classic Frits."

Keep an eye out for Rising Sun, Falling Coconut dropping on vinyl and digitally on 25th January, as well as news of Fritz' project with some legendary and likeminded producers in the pipeline. All coming soon.

1984 saw Alex Scheffer entering the world of machines. Aged 10 he received his first machine from his mother and father, respectively pianist and drummer, a Juno 106 Roland. At that time, student at the Conservatoire, he started looking at LFOs and filters. His favourite instruments remain keyboards and especially the piano, an instrument which he will get back to at 13 when entering the Jazz section at the Conservatoire of Chambéry (73).
His growing interest for machines and electronic music enticed him to listen to artists such as Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, John Cage, Peter Gabriel.

Convinced that a fusion of styles is fundamental, Alex decided at 16 to look into Pop-Electro fusion. He took part in several bands as keyboard player and arranger, his main function being to mingle and mix electronic sounds into Pop-Rock atmospheres.
After his Acoustic Engineer studies, Alex definitely made a turn towards electronic music. While collaborating with different directors he got to carry out all types of orders. Original soundtracks for advertising, short films, catwalk and even contemporary dance for which he wrote more than an hour of music.
