FUSE002 is a debut album by Computer Graphics @computergraphics - an alias of Alexey Devyanin (Pixelord @pixelord, Gultskra Artikler). Here we got an original 7-tracker, representing what is contemporary 4/4 music from Alexey's point of view. A collection of straight beats mixed with quirky synthetic percussions, vintage layers and some kind of firm rusty past atmosphere, though still positive and a sort of young. 

The whole thing is supplemented with a plenty of remixes from our comrades all over - UK's Moiré @moirelines, known for his Werk Discs and R&S appears, Opal Tapes' insider and Farbwechsel master S Olbricht @s_olbricht along with his friend's A i w A @a_i_w_a from Budapest, and our Russian in-label mates Yayati @yayati and Rad Machine @radmachine. 

We got 3 versions of this release - a vinyl one containing all 7 originals plus two remixes by Moiré and S Olbricht, a 60-min cassette tape with all the tunes presented, and a digital edition of the whole thing with an exclusive "Long Version"of the track "WTF".

The cover was kindly provided by professor Bruce Randall Donald, made by himself in 1981 during the period of his work at the Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Spatial Analysis in the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University in early 80s. Collarbones - Turning (Flume Remix)

Think real, moving… instantly relatable. Such is the tale told in Kelissa’s newest single Best Kept Secret (Locked Away) — a collaboration between her own label Anbessa Music and Natural High Music, known for their ethereal reggae blends. The track is part of Natural High's Urban Roots Project which is a compilation featuring Jesse Royal, Jovi Rockwell, Keida, Keznamdi, Dre Island and a host of other artists. 

Equally sweet and hard-hitting, the catchy song highlights Kelissa’s crystal clear vocals and sentimental melodies played by a cadre of exceptional instrumentalists —Nambo Robinson on trombone, his son Nnamdi on lead guitar and Wayne Armond on riddim guitar, with Everald ‘Stingray’ Gray on trumpet and flugle. Bringing it together seamlessly alongside her lead and supporting vocals are background vocalists Hectar Lewis and Jamar ‘Chronixx’ McNaughton, who is also responsible for mixing the track. 
 
Best Kept Secret’s easy harmonies are flavoured with old school lover’s rock and strains of dub to take you on a journey into Kelissa’s heart and mind. It evokes feelings of nostalgia, perfectly captured in the cover image which was shot at Eits Café in The Blue Mountains by William Richard.  Press play and enjoy.



BEST KEPT SECRET (Locked Away)

The track, “Overbite”, is an ultra catchy slice of electronic pop with its sights aimed firmly on the dance floor.
Paris Wells was well travelled both musically and geographically before hooking up with Sound of Copenhagen. Growing up in Melbourne, she became infatuated with hip hop and jazz at a young age, which in turn kickstarted her own career and influenced her unique sound which also incorporates elements of pop, soul and electronic music.

“I'd put my new stuff at drink#2, just before you're heading out pre drinks if you will.”

The track, an irresistible slice of electro-pop that has Paris’ unique soulfulness all over it, is a homage to her friends and their ability to cheer her up:
“I realized through all our drama, there's always an end, hurt passes, time moves us, places change us and you just have to keep the boogie with you.”

The song title references a physical attribute she used to struggle with:
“I hated my mouth and was very self conscious of it, when the irony dawned on me, it's one of the most important parts of who I am. It carries my voice, my laugh, my smile and my ability to drink Champagne for breakfast. So I decided to MAKE WAY FOR THE OVERBITE”.

The track is produced by the British production team Eat More Cake and co-produced by Paris herself. It should have no problem finding its way into DJ-sets and onto dance floors throughout Europe this autumn.

First mix at Trushmix this year is by DJ Suhaid straight outta Budapest, Hungary.
