NYC's Jean Pierre has appeared on Stereo, Defected, De-Noize and Nervous, and now graces New Violence with Lost In A Groove EP.

Lets kick off with the title track 'Lost In A Groove', and as the title suggests, is deep and hypnotic and one to play with your mind. This groovy gem oozes of coolness as hobbs along, before dropping to a haunting melodic deep vibe. Snippets of speech and nature sounds, create a soundscape, whilst percussive layers add further depth.

The first of the remixes comes from Lydia Eisenblätter, who has graced Kling Klong and Stunde Null, and classes herself as making dirty funky tech house, which sums up this rework nicely. Chunky and skippy vibes here, laced with gritty stabs and cool use of the vocal, as this just keeps on building and creating tension.

Up next it Chemical Speaking featuring RAWRAW, and its a bit of a tripped out affair here. Cool vocals, nicely effected meet a rollin' groove, full of swagger. This is one of those cool tracks that just works. Solid, and we like it.

Rounding things off nicely, Vincenzo D'Amico is on remix duties of Chemical Speaking. Famed for his releases on Playmobil and D-Floor, The talented Italian delivers a tasty rework, retaining the originals swagger, but adding a tasty bassline, and added percussion, making this a phat little number. Hot as you like!

As Warriors celebrates its fifth season at Sankeys Ibiza, residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody mix a double album composed of entirely exclusive tracks.

Throughout the 2016 season residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody will be regular fixtures at the events, which is why VIVa have tapped them up to craft two mixes exemplary of Warriors’ distinct musical aesthetic.  Turning heads ever since his debut on Hot Creations four years ago, Mark Jenkyns has since followed up with appearances on Rinse, Dogmatik, Leftroom, Resonance and Crosstown Rebels, not to mention collaborating with Inxec as 12 Stories with a release on VIVa MUSiC last year.

Jenkyns’ mix initiates with a percussive production from Leftroom founder Matt Tolfrey before erupting into lively material from names such as Resonance Records founder Max Chapman, Kreature, Tom Budden and including his own cut which is our Debut Transmission today ‘Sidewinder’ and finishing on a crunchy track from Josh Butler.

Hitting robotically hot on the new Moda Black Volume IV compilation is a crafty electro-focused remix by Richy Ahmed. Since its inception in 2011, Moda Black has become one of the UK’s most successful independent imprints, focusing on passionately produced, forward-thinking electronic music that covers a broad range of sounds.

As for guests, Tough City Kids and Throwing Snow seal the deal alongside Richy Ahmed with their remixes. Richy's remix is yet another example as to why he's been a driving force to the renaissance of British House the past few years. He's an established international DJ who knows the scene, taking cues from a plethora of genres and integrating it into his own form of curation.

Without further ado, let's dive into the textural wonder of Richy Ahmed. Moda Black Volume IV will be available June 17th via Moda Black.

Giuliano Lomonte steps up on Dana Ruh’s Brouqade label with his groove-focused house cut ‘Reflections’, set for release on the forthcoming various artists EP titled ‘BQD40.3’.

Berlin based by way of Italy, Giuliano Lomonte is an artist set to breakthrough in the underground scene with releases on Ultrastretch, Pressure Traxx, Sukhumvit Records and his very own Point of View imprint. With his debut on Brouqade he’s delivering the tripped out essence that’s become his signature in recent years.

‘Reflections’ possesses a mesmerizing sound profile, with techy, whimsical textures and a captivating rhythm that builds over a cool 8-minutes. It’s an unbeatable groove primed for taking over the dancefloor.

‘BQD40.3’ is set for release mid-May and also features tracks from Jorge Gamarra & Gulp and Formas.

Noha & Alex Tea’s musical relationship is one that’s yielded great results to date, chiefly as result of their work together on the Panick EP, the inaugural release on Noha and Alex’s increasingly essential Panick Panick! label. Here, they team up with distinction once more for the label’s fourth release, the only difference being that this time they do so under their Patagonia moniker. If this one is a sign of things to come, it’s an alias that looks set to bare serious fruit over the next while.

A two tracker full of heady, intoxicating vibes, we get underway courtesy of the rushed, dubs flavours of ‘Rimane Senza’. A multilayered cut that boasts a relentless edge, it stops only for breath when its sporadic vocal flourish enters the equation. Dark and banging but with featuring just enough light at the end of the tunnel, it’s an all-round engrossing cut with a stuffy demeanour that’s hard not to appreciate.

The A side sees the duo revert to more percussion-led planes, courtesy of ‘Chi Ci Pensa’. The sort of weapon that’s sure to go down a treat with latin-inclined DJs such as Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano, this one’s already got an airing at Sunwaves courtesy of [a:rpia:r], who unleashed it to great acclaim at the renowned Romanian festival. Full of swing and smile-induced vibes, this one may well prove to be one of the biggest tracks of the summer. Expect this one to play out across European dancefloor’s over the coming months.

The correctly named Hottrax welcome Italian star Frank Storm for a brace of brilliant new grooves in ‘Body Crunch’.

Storm has really established himself in Ibiza as the founder of Unusual Suspects, a cult underground night that has been at Sankeys since 2015. The party has gone on to host events round the world while his own sound fuses deepness with minimal tech grooves and has landed on Hot Creations, Get Physical, Rawthentic, Celesta and Serialism amongst many others.

Up first here is ‘Body Crunch,’ a quick and slick track of deft drum programming, busy percussive details and late night energy that steps you off your feet. It’s a stripped back track but a hugely effective one that is brilliantly infectious.
On the flip, ‘Attenders’ is another masterfully minimal tune with involving loops of warm bass, sci-fi effects and watery chords that sink you deep into the supple groove.

These are two high class and superbly executed tracks from one of the scene’s finest.
