As today’s technology remaps how we communicate and share our experiences, Lee Batchelor steers his online production groups on their next collaboration, bringing together like minded producers from around the globe, honing their craft as a collective, to create forward-thinking electronic music.

Counterpoint lays down a beautifully rich and deep piece of drum and bass. The giant iron pylons snap bolts of untamed charges, across skies of conductive clouds. We harness the energy and jolt ourselves through the serene sounds that are abundant in this track. You know what ... after this sentence, the rest is kinda provardo. To tell you the truth, I play what makes me feel good. Welcome to my bag of mixes, mostly D&B and liquid, but I like to play a fusion of sounds to tickle minds and create visual soundscapes. I have been mixing since 1993. Started on Technics 1210s with vinyl morphed to CDJs then my ikkle beauty a Numark iDJ pro by algorithm, somewhat rare iPad integrated controller. Now im back where I started on vinyl with the added luxury of time coded records to add into my mixes.  Anyways, I do what makes me feel good at the time cos, well thats all we got. Future Engineers have been producing drum & bass since 1996, with releases on labels such as LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Blame’s 720 Degrees, Renegade, Partisan, and Vibez.

Transference was launched by Lee in 2010, kicking off with the Future Engineers ‘Ellipse’ EP. The label was established for Lee’s solo material as Future Engineers, but evolved to include various other projects with the likes of Electrosoul System, Sunchase, Operon, Cutworks, Radicall, Dauntless and Fuj.
