In ‘Colour Of The Past’ Krakota simultaneously tugs at the heartstrings and hits hard in the face with vocals brought by new finding Karina Ramage. The French-Scottish-English songwriter was a surprise find by label boss Chris Goss as he discovered her busking on London’s South Bank. Another clear highlight is his partnering with our second label boss for ‘Powder Coated’ - the perfect mix of London Elektricity soul and Krakota power.

‘Half Life’ is a reminder back to the massive dancefloor damage caused by ‘Ice Hands’, ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Xylo’ last year. Its gritty split of siren calls and deep bouncing bass hits in all the right places. Krakota's musical edge shows in ‘Elastic’ with funk flare and horns hailing. ‘North Winds’ and ‘Turn of Fate’ blend arcade style synth work with crackles of white noise.

A consistently brilliant producer, Krakota’s carved out his own style over the past few years getting his name noticed on dancefloors around the UK and Europe. He's received support from the likes of BBC Radio 1's Friction and well remembered for his tear out live mix on BBC Radio 1Xtra's Soundclash in 2015. His solitary stance in the drum & bass world has been making waves and that’s sure to continue with his outstanding debut album ‘Strange System’.

After creating a wave of excitement with the 'Invisible Worlds' EP/Single their debut LP Timeless Travellers on Cosmic Origins Records & there debut release "Invisible Worlds on Cadence Recordings. Bass'Flo & Ziyal need no introduction to those into the deep atmospheric side of drum n bass.

Lucid Dreamer (Original Mix)

This one starts with a shining melody carried in a tranquil ocean of sound that gradually builds with extra nuances & sonics floating into the fray, then the big infamous fat baseline sets the groove before a seconds breather... then the trademark Bass"Flo & Ziyal beats set the standard for the cosmic intergalactic dance floors. The breaks are strong detailed & and at times almost metallic & others organic - percussive, as the title suggest this is a very dreamy other worldly affair. The break down is something else…the sound of a celestial calling…pure tranquility & deepness with a constant melody that carries though the track…intense breaks cosmic vocal sounds & big pads make this another fine trip from the mighty duo….great to have them back once again on Cadence.

Lucid Dreamer - Aural Imbalance Re-wire.

Aural Imbalance brings his take on things once again with his signature sound of pure atmospheric goodness using an addictive acid bassline that grooves the motion forward. rolling breaks set the rhythm & washes of lush soundscapes continue the theme of the original whilst making great use of all the original elements. This is a classic AI rewire that takes the listener once again into deepest realms of drum n space.

Lucid dreamer - Galaxi Remix

This is a first appearance on Cadence from California based producer Galaxi who also needs no introduction for those into their deep space planetary inspired Drum n bass.
Galaxi more than delivers the goods with his fast paced remix taking the track into definitive dance floor territory, a slightly more moody atmosphere in places & a persistent rolling drum pattern keeps the tempo high with big pads & lush synth washes he manages to keep the sound of the original prominent but successfully adds his distinguished Galaxi flavour to the mix.

Future Engineers have been producing drum & bass since 1996, with releases on labels such as LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Blame’s 720 Degrees, Renegade, Partisan, and Vibez.

Transference was launched by Lee in 2010, kicking off with the Future Engineers ‘Ellipse’ EP. The label was established for Lee’s solo material as Future Engineers, but evolved to include various other projects with the likes of Electrosoul System, Sunchase, Operon, Cutworks, Radicall, Dauntless and Fuj.
