Playing with the volume of 3 oscillators - 2 tuned the same,1 is a sine, one is a saw and playing the arp, the third is a sine tuned to the root and is a lower octave. When you increase the level of the third oscillator it causes likke a ring/fm style tone. its lovely!!

This release was written whilst traveling through Vietnam and then onto Aotearoa and Australia on a tour in 2024. 

Personally when in motion, we find making, creating and gathering inspiration through different forms of energy so integral to our production processes - what ever genre it may be. 

We really hold value in the connection to nature and human-human experiences that you find your self in when traveling, for better or worse they shape you and this EP was a true reflection of those times we had.

Hailing from Mulubinba (Newcastle), 2-FDCK has spent the past few years building a name for himself in the local bass scene, bringing a raw and heartfelt take on drum and bass and dubstep. After three years behind the decks, he’s developed a style that leans into the darker, more unusual sides of drum and bass - with touches of tribal and world-inspired bass, as well as jazzy and soulful influences.

Inspired by artists like Simula, Visages, and Mefjus, his sets carry both weight and feeling. He's played at events around the Hunter region including Rhythm at Dusk, FunHaus Factory, Immersion Collective, Modulate, Powder Your Nose, Ryze, Shuvclub, and more, as well as at local doofs such as Forest Fruits II (2025).

When playing at raves and doofs, 2-FDCK takes a storytelling approach, creating a flow that feels connected from start to finish. In the club, he's just as at home switching things up and playing across all kinds of drum and bass styles to keep the energy moving.

Now starting to explore production, 2-FDCK is continuing to shape his own sound - one built on groove, grit, and good energy.

Future Engineers have been producing drum & bass since 1996, with releases on labels such as LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Blame’s 720 Degrees, Renegade, Partisan, and Vibez.

Transference was launched by Lee in 2010, kicking off with the Future Engineers ‘Ellipse’ EP. The label was established for Lee’s solo material as Future Engineers, but evolved to include various other projects with the likes of Electrosoul System, Sunchase, Operon, Cutworks, Radicall, Dauntless and Fuj.
