Most everyone knows this melody, whether it be from Dick Dale's surf rock rendition, or the Black Eyed Peas "Pump It", but Misirlou is actually an old Eastern Mediterranean folk song whose original author is unknown. It's a story of forbidden love between a Greek Christian man and an Egyptian Muslim woman

It's one of the most iconic melodies of our time, and I wanted to put my own spin on it, contrasting modern Bass sounds with instruments from Egypt, Greece and Turkey
