Recently landing in Oaxaca by way of Mexico City, the effervescent and zestful DJ & producer @paurrro bursts onto the series with Inchmix067. 
Splitting her time between head of programming and hosting her own show ‘Femme Soul’ on Aire Libre FM Mexico City, Paurro now has recently joined the Yo Radio family with her new project Carmesi. 

Over the hour, Paurro treats us to gentle flickers of IDM which quickly morph into metallic shades of Electro. Momentarily we sneak into the murky waters of techno and acid, before being steered back to more slick and grimy daggers. 

Paurro’s ability to slide between genres whilst maintaining maximum momentum is not only on display with her contribution to our series but in other mixes high on our rotation including Fact Mag, Dublab & @xoxanyc

On the heels of Bézier’s first release on miv comes the genre-bending Continuum EP. The title is very much apt, as it’s a continued line of sonic thought, following the dance-forward collaboration with Vin Sol, Thru Out. Its dynamic range creates a small multiverse, and is very much an expression of Bézier’s progression and versatility as an artist. At times the mood is dystopian, at others, it’s bright and vigorous. Pulling from leftfield techno to electro to dark disco, this EP showcases grittier works that retain a playful, potent energy. 

The first half of the EP is moody and primal; the gnarled, scowling bassline of opening track “Coto de Caza” sets the tone. “Surfing the Wedge” places techno elements alongside atypical rhythmic patterns, thereby sustaining a delicious tension. The second half springboards from this tension with “Snap into Focus,” a wild, rave-ready cut whose battering percussive elements aim to move the body. Throughout, Bézier’s analog approach to production injects this EP with texture and vitality. Continuum ends with its title track, whose glittering synth and booming electro beat deliver us to a sweaty, happily exhausted close. All around, Bézier’s latest is vigorous and effectual, primed to ignite dance floors.

PREMIERE: Bézier - Continuum

As well as inviting good friends and artists/DJs we have admired for some time, we enjoy nothing more than stumbling across a mix from someone not known to us before. The latter is the route that this DTS invitation took and we could not be more delighted to provide a 75 minute soundtrack for whatever it is you are doing, from the talented @enelramm of Leipzig!

1/2 of @dyscotheque and part of the @nice4what collective from Leipzig, we first encountered enelRAM's ability to plot together an engrossing mix via the East German based record label, @uncanny-valley-dresden and their podcast series.

A whistle stop tour round more mixes led to the offer of going Down The Stairs. An offer which was accepted and we have to say, this is right up there with our favourite instalments yet!

Memories and visions of having a cold beer on a sunny terrace come to mind as enelRAM glides through tracks from the likes of @wildsarah & @georgstuby , @johannesalbert , @bohm , @tilman & @rhodeandbrown , @cinthie , @riohv and more.

A common name found in and around the clubs of Leipzig, enelRAM has made sure the city has gotten even higher on our list of places to visit post COVID!
