Spivak is doing this months mix. Born and raised in Cyprus, Maria Spivak delivers a mild and enchanting piece that’s built around the concept of waking up just to sleep again. Emotionally it embraces this thought. Eventually slipping away with a traditional Cypriot folk lullaby sung to babies before sleep. 
Maria Spivak released her beautiful debut album ‘Met'a To P'eib = Μετά Το Ρέιβ’ for Ecstatic in 2020. A colorful melt pot of electro-ish synthpop. 
Her Knekelhuis mix features some future tracks that will be released on Honest Electronics somewhere in the near future.

This talented artist produces a lot of his work with traditional Japanese instruments in combination with modern techniques resulting in a captivating and unique combination of jazz, Japanese sounds, and electronics. His work has been released on Aliens Jams, Elena Colombi's Osare! Editions, YOUTH, ESP Insititute, Young Marco's Safe Trip and Amsterdam-based Musar Recordings. Lock in for an hour of deep and musical selections across Detroit house, techno, and electro.

Here is the ninth chapter of our podcast series, a new story told by @dj-heartbreak-berlin, committed record digger and music journalist based in Berlin.

For this episode, he wanted to refer to the classic tape format, therefore he imagined a two-sided mix. This meticulous blend of selected findings and oddities, features both the gloomy vibes and the hypnotic grooves that define Futurepast for him.

The first part takes you from the chilly shores of white noise and dramatic strings to the more electric and rhythmic lands of IDM and electronica. The second part is a progressive buildup of dub atmospheres and experimental beats, all finely sewed together to transport you in an alternative time.
