''I am usually known for my accelerated, groovy take on techno so for this mix I was inspired by the change of season here in Detroit. I recently moved to the city and had to get used to the harsh winter and now that Spring is among us, I wanted to reflect that change in this mix by starting out airy and dreamy and taking the listener to a bunch of twists & turns to ultimately create a fun mix because the sun’s out! I also haven’t really played any electro/breaks into any of my mixes so it was nice to play something that I don’t usually play. It’s a nice surprise to people that have followed me along this artistic journey.''

Opener 'Janeiro Joy' is driving, smooth and dreamy dancefloor track, 'Bass Star' goes slightly darker, with it's intriguing acidic bassline. B-side brings the rhythmic more complex 'Cocoons' , the EP closes with 'Seismic Space' an airy UR-styled electro-track.

As usual, I come home after a night at the club but I can't sleep, so I go to @lavanderiaclub and play records to death. This time was 7a.m. of a Saturday and without thinking too much about it, I pressed the record button and I'm glad I did it because it came out a nice picture of these kinds of moments of solitary bliss in altered states of consciousness that I'm used to experience but which I had never managed to portray with a concrete memory until now. So this 5+ hours continuous live recording first of all makes sense to me, but maybe it can resonate with someone out there.

Hailing from Eora/Sydney, Zac Walls’ sound reflects his wide range of influences. Zac finds comfort in often galvanising brands of techno, with his sound lying deep within the dark and hypnotic. Zac has developed a unique style, often using multiple decks to provide his mixes with layered texture. Zac’s ability to bridge between psychedelic, dark and new-age techno form a brutal yet hypnotising energy, ultimately leading to unforgettable moments. Infectious groove-filled rhythms and unrelenting energy keep the dancers’ hips shaking.

Zac Walls, one half of the Eora based collective obfuscate, is passionate about the local techno scene. His modus operandi is to reinvigorate the underground Sydney techno scene and inject it with the passion, energy and pioneering sounds hear across the world.

Expect propelling soundscapes and space-age bleeps and bloops.
