Future Primitive has also given ambient number "Evocation Part II" a full remaster and B-side privileges, honouring an esoteric production from Anibaldi's Void LP that was originally released on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label in 1996.

The UK's newly inaugurated Future Primitive label holds a candle to its name by unearthing two Leo Anibaldi productions from deep within the Roman's voluminous back catalogue. The two-track 12" debut sees Anibaldi provide the label with a contemporary 'Stretched Edit' of 1994 production "Fusion 1", a cut lifted from the Aeon EP originally released on the now defunct Italian label, ACV.

FP Slow Tracks Mix Volume 1

A second release for London's Future Primitive Records brings to the fore a new hand-picked selection of hard to find - if not overlooked - tracks from Wolfgang Voigt, DJ Guy and Fernando Corona, aka Murcof. All of the music to feature on this four-track Recast EP was previously subject to tape or CD only release. 

Lifted from his only album as Love Inc., Wolfgang Voigt's "Income" sits primo as the A1, holding firm 22 years after its original release. Predating Voigt's work as GAS, its caustic chords, shimmering melodies and chilled 90BPM vibe render it a production borne from the classic dub techno blueprint of the early-to-mid '90s. An early take on "slo-mo" techno.

The DAT tapes of DJ Guy have again been raided, with Future Primitive joining a select cast of followers to rejuvenate the Englishman's productions with an edit that appeared on his tape for Crisis Urbana.

Both B-side tracks "Botas De Oro" and "Secondary Inspection Theme" come from Murcof's one-time Terrestre alias, a project from the early-2000s which fuses textural, slow-motion and minimal house sensibilities with Mexican Banda and NorteNo music - aka Nortec, a micro-sub-genre to come out of Tijuana. Loose percussion, swung drums and winding rhythms are made all the more esoteric through the subversively climactic nature of Terrestre's music.

Originally a cassette release on Wil-Ru Records in 2011 CN's "The Expedition Beyond" is a musical narrative that chronicles the astral travels of a star-craft and it's crew through the outer reaches of the Galaxy. 10 tracks of cosmic acid funk, drifty nebulous synth-scapes and robo-centric electro (Produced by Stian Gjevik around the same time as his classic "Utrecht" release as EOD).

Columbus, Ohio may not be spoken of in the same glowing terms as Detroit when it comes to ‘90s Techno from the Mid-West. However, the Columbus-based 21/22 Corp label was responsible for some of Future Primitive’s favourite techno from this era. We’ve tracked down the multi-genre ‘president and production manager’ behind 21/22 Corp, Charles Noel, for our next release. Formed of two exclusive productions, this Archetype 12” is the essence of techno at its most individual.

The fifth Future Primitive release, Babylon Paralysis, sees the label work with an all-time favourite UK techno artist Steve O'Sullivan. We are super happy to be reissuing a classic slab of late '90s Bluetrain material from Steve in the shape of "Congo Shuffle", which originally surfaced as an untitled B1 on the timeless Echo Freaks 12". Newly extended and edited by O'Sullivan, "Congo Shuffle" has been lavishly cut at the Exchange giving new life to this bottom feeding monster.

On the flip, Steve blesses us with two brand new productions continuing the sub-heavy theme of the A side. Invisible Guest steps away from the straight up 4/4 productions he's nailed in recent years in favour of a stealthy broken dub approach that wouldn't be out of place on go-to Bristol label Idle Hands.

"Paralyzed Dub" is both the inspiration for the release title and another classic demonstration of Steve's ability to stun listeners with very few elements. Play loud and keep away from laptop speakers.
