Future Times is very pleased to announce our next release, a single from Lifted with a special featured guest on vocals, Panda Bear. Core Lifters Jeremy Hyman and Max D join forces with new collaborator Justin Kelly on synths, who conjures pads that shift between glazing together and fizzing back apart. Hyman took on arrangement and FX duties, splashing deteriorating song into the night, and nestling stray drum machines, foley sounds, and bass weight together into a beatless bed for Panda Bear’s sweet and romantic vocal. In Hyman’s hands it is dubbed dizzyingly, though its simple message cuts through: spending time with someone you love is the best.

Newcomer Mosey drops a beautiful debut for Future Times!! The three tracks on the EP have an intangible, melancholy lift to them, primed for fans of lovers rock techno and 16-Bit new wave. "Tuff Times" is a perfect nu-romantic piece of dance music, a simple straight line of emotional resonance that makes you wanna look up at the lights and zone. With a sound bank somewhere between PPU garage love, Sega Genesis, and glossy-eyed techno, the entire EP comes correct for the sweethearts. "TC Midi Labs", the B-Side opener, is an awesome Sakamoto-style display of abstracted synthetic flourish, perfect between two songs for the DJ knuckleheads out there, and even more perfect for home zoners. B2 cut "Live A Little" closes it out, sounding like Section 25 distilled to a simple, elegant essence.

Future Times is very pleased to introduce this killer 12" to the globe, a serious disc by JACK J. His 12" for Mood Hut last year flipped many wigs and this 12" is further proof that the dude is full-fledged. "Thirstin'" takes the day-in-the-life quintessence of "Something (On My Mind)" even farther, using his voice to beautify the sparkling, spaced track. The B-Side "Atmosphère" is just as mighty, as Jack channels a velvet Patrick Adams vibe in this gorgeous instrumental, the pianos in particular take the song to a galactic place. Both tracks feel like you could live inside them, each as good for walking around This Life chillin' as they are for the party. Essential Summer Music.

Future Times is back in the mix, expanding the sound and vision of the label with the latest in their compilation series, Vibe 3!!!

The compilation opens with the dynamic killer "Junk Funk" by DC newcomer OV, a pure cut that rotates between percussive slice and complete ambient stasis. Juju & Jordash come thru next with "Soggy Bottom" and get their hypnotic piano throb on, and Max D's "Octopus" follows with an improvised, kinetic bang. Grapes & Isle O' Man ft. The Wino Boys (an alias for MB and OD, who've put in work on RH's No Label) knock it out with a beautiful slab of whacked reggae in "Up The Dubs (It Can't Rain Forever)", and Further Records' Raica fades it out majestic with "Makmba."

Disc 2 starts with a new track from Beautiful Swimmers, "Primo", a thick chunk of Industrial Pop, like some fractured version of "Was Dog A Doughnut" for the freaks. Jeremy Hyman, most recently heard from in collaboration with FT's Max D for the Lifted LP on PAN earlier this year, rides a luscious animated opening into a great slice of plastic techno with "Machine Stops". The B Side starts with Protect-U's insane "Krums", a whirlwind of liquid metal and cranked snares, and rides out with "First Sign Of Artifice," the first, amazing burst from newcomer Edy Alta.

Disc 3 starts with Shanti Celeste and her monster cut "Strung Up", a savage tune for the deejays that mixes a bit of her native Bristol with classic electro. After that Dawit & Dolo (aka Dawit Eklund of the 1432 R crew and Dolo Percussion) collab on the massive, always-rising "Knowledge Body," turning a hurricane of snares into a moody, slow-build tower. Steve Summers lets us breathe for a moment on the last side of the comp with "Shimmer," a sick vignette and DJ tool. DSR.MR (a collaboration between Mood Hut's Cloudface and Max Ravitz aka M Rav/Patricia) shuffle into infinity after that with the blessed Rhodes techno shifter "Crystal Jungle," and C'est Life (aka Jack J) ends the compilation on a perfect note with the timeless "New Years Eve 2013."

Future Times is very pleased to announce that our next release will be a 7” single from Oakland’s Motoko & Myers! This duo is made up of Wonja & DJML, both of whom have blessed electronic music in numerous ways recently together and individually, via releases on Jacktone, DJing together for their Herzog Hideout radio transmissions, and their amazing album from 2018, Basis Key, released via Bass Clef’s digital imprint Open Hand Real Flames.

M+M make music from a really special place, wild tones, drum-machine-breaths and weird, pitched synth space combine with a sense of rhythm that folds in on itself. B-Side “Whimbrel” represents this perhaps best of the two songs, with a loping, wandering-on-the-beach sense of synth space and not-quite-dancehall drums. 

“Plover”, however, is a perfect set-starter for the techno freaks, with the lightest drums coming in halfway over a thick, shifting loop of perfect glass techno for the DJs. Tip!
