Guv'nor Funk is a House producer from Canada. His journey with music started in 2017, fueled by a natural curiosity and a love for experimenting with sound. What began as playful exploration eventually turned into something much deeper.

I'm Hackurr / D87 - I've been a music producer, DJ and writer for two years.

I produce and spin a mix of jungle, breaks, filter house and disco, but my musical tastes have varied over the years and are constantly changing.

I've had the wonderful opportunities to have released on some awesome labels - Deep Extreme (Michigan) Asionyta (Belgium) Creux La Nuit (Uruguay) and my own label Soda, which ran from May 2024 to July 2025.

I'm also the head writer and creator of At The Discotheque, a blog about French house, future funk, disco and the blog house revival - which has been running since February 2025. I've had the opportunities to interview Louis La Roche, Corrout, Opierm, Luv4Loop and a host of others, with lots of great people planning to appear soon. 

Also an author elsewhere! I hope to get my second novel done soon.
